Large entry pivot door.

Size: 2000 x 2500 x 92 mm.
Floor spring (pivot system) : Dorma BTS 80
Handle bar: FSB + Hoppe.
Finish: Sikkens ( cetol 885 + rubbol 151 + rubbol 380 )
Cladding: water proof MDF - Valchromat (Portugal),12 mm. thick.
Shade: RAL 7016
Lock: multipoint locking system by GU.
Sealing: Deventer + Athmer
Profile cylinder: Tesa TX80, secure. (Assa Abloy) - Věda a technologie

We were just quoted $8k for a pivot door here in Sydney, Aust. I'm considering building one and having just enjoyed your video, I think I can do it. Just need to buy a large warehouse, about $1M of equipment and I'll be able to save a mozza by going DYI!! Cheers - Dave ;-)

We used automatic seal by Athmer (see description above)

Great Job, and a beautiful door. i just had a quick inquiry, the BTS80 floor spring specs say that the maximum recommended door width is 4ft (121cm) for exterior doors and maximum recommended weight is 660lbs (300kgs). So how did you account for the extra door length in this scenario? Thanks
Thanks. By my calculation, the weight was no more than 200 kg. So weight is OK and still have a margin of safety. Regarding width, as far as i know, those mentioned limits are given because of wind resistance which in our case was OK ( good placing, shielded etc....).If you look for alternative floor springs with (sometimes) better features i would recommend you : Fritsjurgens czcams.com/video/YW1UorcEhIc/video.html and Dictator (up to 600 kg.) czcams.com/video/eMsGwP6lFQQ/video.html

What was that black board used for the finish, plywood?
I just added it in description. As cladding from both sides we used water proof MDF ( black shade) called Valchromat (made in Portugal) , distributed all over the world. See their webpages : valchromat.pt or investwood.pt It´s a great stuff.

Wish I could have watched it, I don't do mines and have disliked that over played, lacking talent song, since it first came out. Hope to find someone who can explain what they are doing?
I don't think they had any intention to show you the proper methods implemented to build this type of door for yourself! Playing, eye of the tiger music, instead of teaching you the proper assembly process is a waste of my time!
