Damn! You're not kidding! Here in Virginia Beach, Va., we have pelicans, but you would be lucky if you saw more that ten at a time. I am surprised that all those rocks don't look like snow cap mountains with all of that pelican pooh!
They only came by for a relatively short time, so I assume they stayed right there checked into the rock hotel until the anchovy they were feeding on moved up the coast. Then they stayed at the next place. :)

@pinballman1 These follow the food mostly. They will follow any good sized school of fish will go wherever they can to find them.
