One of the best tutorials I have seen so far. I love how you show EACH step and how it changes real time. I know this is an older tutorial but still completely relevant and the steps are still excellent.
This tutorial is a REAL helper in building up a professional post template also with a featured image.
Why would the folks from Elementor asked Dave to create this video? Simply, he's just the best teacher.
Marvelous collaboration. Great job Dave!
Thanks my friend. I appreciate that. :)
Perfect. Contemporary articles miss this concept all together. Glad a came across this via Elementor's blog. Thanks for the assist!
Thanks again Dave for your clear tutorial. This is what I love about your tutorials and your No Stress WordPress course, no fuss, straight to the point and clear instructions on how to get the job done with added CSS tweaks. You're an amazing teacher!
Thank you so much Anita my friend. Really appreciate that. :D
Thank you soooo much Dave ! This is really the ultimate Elementor blog post teaching piece anyone will ever need. What a job !
Thank you my friend! Always love your support and encouragement. You know it means a lot.
I can not replicate the width of the second section. Full width never looks like your example (20px of padding on left and right). Any idea what I'm doing wrong? Again, thank you so much!
Very hard to know really Eduardo! Everything I did is there in the video. I really don't know?!
By far one of the most valuable tutorials out there. I can't thank you enough!
This is brilliant. I have been struggling with my blog for ages and It is like the sun has just come out. Thank you so so so so much.
This is an amazing tutorial. We need this kind of tutorials for beginners who are getting started :)
Glad it was helpful, Suresh!
I agree completely. So many tutorials don't apply to beginners to Elementor. One criticism is the moderator speaks a bit too quickly. A bit slower would make this a five star rating.
@@TheFoodandWineDivaWashington put the speed at 0.75 and this is great!
I have been through my fair share of Elementor Tutorials and for me this is the best I have come across by some distance. Normally they lose me after 10 minutes but this kept me for the full 29ish minutes. It is just the right pace, pitched at the appropriate level and does what it says on the tin. I have not only subscribed but saved it as a bookmark as well..
Dave Foy a great instructor the way he explained the whole thing is amazing. Thanks man :)
You are simply the best teacher for elementor, quick, exact, no bullshit and wasting my time with forwarding useless drivels. Thanks!
Elementor......for the win once again. Amazing page builder.
OMG! YOU ARE FREAKING AMAZING!!! I'M BLOWN AWAY! THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH! THIS TUTORIAL IS A GAME CHANGER. SIMPLE TO UNDERSTAND AND EASY TO FOLLOW ALONG WITH.
Another great tutorial from Dave Foy! I follow Dave's courses 'No Stress WordPress' and 'No Fear Funnels'. Dave doesn't only make great tutorials but he is also very generous in giving help and advice.
Aww thanks Sandra. Really good of you to leave a comment. Glad you liked it.
Dave you are not just best ultimate teacher and your work is just .. just mindblowing extreme superb .. when you prepare and record some guide or what else to say .. > BUT < the difference between you and other guys trying to make guides about elementor even their very own employes is this .. that when you teach i jump and i go design and willing to do or spend any money to achieve what you just showed in video ( addons or whicheaver thing ) I think i do not need to continue :) THANK YOU!
Fantastic Channel, and brilliant tutorials Dave! Very thorough & entertaining. Learned alot and have implemented this design in my own blog :)
As always, the best WP tutorials on YT! Explained clearly and methodically and very well-planned.
Thanks Ian. The planning's the hardest bit, definitely. Really glad you liked it.
Great video! I've watched other videos on this topic and your video was by far THE BEST… Your video is the only one that got me the results I wanted. Thank you sooo much for this Dave.

Great video! Thank you so much! You're awesome at teaching and explaining things!
Great Teacher ... excellent video presentation ... it's very helpful the way that Dave zooms in the video to clearly show the settings/controls in the Elementor Panel ... I hope Elementor brings back Dave to do alot more videos in the near future.
Thanks Dean. Really glad you noticed that. Takes a bit more time to edit but well worth it.
Great video. You actually made me understand fully the concept of templates. Now I don't have to individual create/customize each post. Thank you.

Insanely useful and clear, thanks!! :)
Great video just what I needed....Thank you
Thank you for the tutorial! I edit my existing single post template but when I visit my website I don't see those changes. How can I fix this?
Beautifully explained, thank you.
Question please:
To write the post itself, do you edit on Elementor or in the standard WP editor in the control panel? It seems that you pull the text directly from the control panel (2:47). Tnx, great video.
Thank you for this excellent tutorial. I have 2 questions for you.
1. Everything looks like it's working OK except the featured image. I can see it while designing the page, but not when I preview it.
2. We just designed the single page but How can I design the main page where all of the blogs are listed. Can you help with this? Thanks
Excellent! Thank you so much for posting!
Fantastic video on creating a post and page template. You made it seem effortlessly through your detailed lesson. Watching your video instantly took away a lot of my frustration in creating my post/page template. Thank you for creating such a great video, keep them coming. yeah!
You might wanna have a look at Dave's No Stress Wordpress course or funnel building course. I am one of his students and the course is absolutely brilliant and saves me a lot of time and stress :)
That's *exactly* what I love to hear. Great news Karen!
Thank you - I will take a look. I love instructors that go into the detail - it makes it much faster to learn how to do
This is a very helpful video. Thanks!
Thanks great tutorial, helped me tremendously. Elementor hasn't greatly changed over 2 years.
Hola! Muchísimas gracias por tu video, me ha sido de gran ayuda. Gracias por todo lo que muestras y enseñas 🙏
Thank you very much. Very informative and helpful. I am having an issue, its not showing any feature image. Do you know what can be the issue?
Amazing!!! My image at the top @7:05 repeats for some strange reason. I've played around with other settings to get it to work and not to repeat but still no luck.
Hi, thanks for the great video! Still I have a question: how is it possible to create multiple sections with different features on a custom post ("post content" doesn't seem to be so flexible, it just copy and paste the whole blog without allowing to work on paragraphs and establish for them different settings...). Many thanks in advance!
This was very helpful and it answered a few questions I'd been looking for answers to that I didn't even know the terms to search (such as calling a category TERMS> Category) I could not figure that out how to list out categories!
Good job again Dave. Question: If my default width for all of the pages I have already published on my site is set at 1140, will it mess those up if I change the default to 1250 for the blog posts as you suggest on this tutorial?
Just curious as a new user...did some of the menus and icons change since this video? My menus now have theme builder and some of the box icons in the design area are different?
It's really what I need, thank you so much~
Hi! Amazing video, by the way. Can you tell me how to properly make the "recent posts widget" load correctly the posts already done and set with the single and archive templates? In the home page it keeps not loading the posts, instead loads some random information.
Thanks for this really helpful video going through it step by step. The layout looks great. The only thing it doesn't seem to show now is how many times my post has been shared. I use the Social Warfare plug-in which automatically displays in a normal blog post. It's not a widget but one which shows the API counts. However, it doesn't seem to display now in this Elementor template version of the post now. Is there a way for me to be able to display that? What would I need to modify in this template to get it to show in a blog post now? Thanks.
Ohhh, you just solve my problem, love ❤️ you for this, great explanation. Thank you.
Yes!!! Happy it helped Zia 💯.
Hi, Great tutorial! I did everything as you did in the video and it didn't apply it to my posts! It acutally applies it to my homepage and of course I don't want that! can you help? or anyone else?
Thank you for the great tutorial!
Fantastic tutorial. Thank you!
Awesome content and thanks for that!
Hello Dave,
Great video thank you. One question though which theme are you using in this video and which theme do you recommend for elementary? Thank you
Best tutorial ever! Just what I was looking for :)
Thanks EasyCookVideos 🤩
This video is a mater school to how to make perfect tutorial. Tnx man.
Wow, Dave Super great Job!
Great tutorial. Thanks.
Hi Dave
Was following your steps in creating the single-post template using Elementor-pro. Was able to see the dynamic featured image loaded on my canvas while creating the template. I saved it with condition to be used by all Post. However when I tried to view any random post I was not able to see the dynamic featured image loaded. I can only see all the post content. I have been cracking my head where I could be going wrong. Is there anything I need to set or check if this is done before I can view from the postings? Funny when I go back to edit the single-post template everything is there as I wanted. Appreciate your input to this issue.
