I'm wondering how easy it is for you to slide that ladder under there. I ask because I have an aluminum compact extension ladder that folds down to 6ft and I want to do the same under my RV and use zinc plated punched square tubing as hangers and crossmembers bolted right to the frame. My concern is how far apart to make the hangers down the rig so that once I start sliding the ladder in it doesn't droop down but instead stays on the crossmembers as i'm sliding it under there. The ladder itself only weighs about 30lbs. I'm thinking maybe 3 sets of hangers since it's only 6ft total, what do you think?
Thanks for your question. My porch got hit by a massive tree branch during hurricane Ida and broke my ladder hanging system. But, I haven't rebuilt it yet because at the end of the day, it did not slide well. It was more trouble than it was worth to save a little space. Perhaps with a ladder as you described it may work better. Hope this helps, at the end of the day, it's better to try and fail than to not try at all.
