Několik českých slov také má ekvivalenty v nizozemštině:
odkoukat - afkijken,
předevčírem - eergisteren
přeřeknout - zich verspreken
promoknout - doorweekt raken
rozednívat se - dagen
Nizozemština má také sloveso 'verregenen', co znamená: být poškozeno deštěm, např.:
De bloemen zijn helemaal verregend.
Květiny jsou úplně poškozené deštěm.
Obtížné je to přesně a kompaktně přeložit na jiný jazyk.
