The guy with the leg infection is in my class. He is the most legit guy i have ever met, and he just has an overall calmness i have never seen before. Eventhough he has had such a career within the danish militay, he has never spoken of it until asked the other day.
    Much respect to that man!

In the beginning there was silence - This is the attitude of the defense when it comes to the Danish special operations soldiers and their efforts around the globe. On February 24, 2005, the Defense Command announced the following: "The unit Task Force K-Bar, of which Danish soldiers from the Frømandkorpset and Jægerkorpset were a part, has received the Presidential Unit Citation Award" as "recognition for the force's outstanding efforts and role in Operation Enduring Freedom. " In Afghanistan.. Not given to any special forces since the Vietnam War..

in 1992 I was a soldier in the Danish air defense in Aalborg and the barracks which were directly opposite our barracks was where the Jægerkorpset students were that year they started 212 person and only two completed it.. and you must have been a soldier for x number of years and have a rank of at least sergeant before you can apply and the second you enter. Then your Rank becomes a conscript no matter how high your rank was before you joined.....

One thing I learned during my time in the military, is that mindset beats form. It is much easier to improve someone's physical fitness than it is to improve their mentality. I remember a guy in my unit, who. was in very bad shape. He always struggled in fitness tests and the likes. But, he never quit, and he got better and better and suddenly he wasnt the weak link anymore. On the other hand I also saw very fit guys, get absolutely destroyed on marches. Everyone is bad when you haven't slept or eaten anything substantial in 4 days, but having the mental capacity to look past it and put your self pity aside is a major skill. Feeling sorry for yourself won't help you when there is 20k left to march. Focus on the 15k behind you, not the 15k in front of you. And always remember, its will be friday. My go to action, when I was feeling sorry for myself, was to look around and find someone struggling more than me and help them. It's something I have always done. I used to be scared of flying, and still am to some extent, but if someone around me is scared, that fear goes away. It's not that I am some sort of saint or to praise myself, I just find it easier to distract myself when helping others. So find your distraction and keep on marching.

17:00 "whats with the black beards"
They were told to look excactly the same. 1 of them has a beard, the rest don't. For them to be the same they either have to remove the beard from the 1 guy or make beards on all of them. All they got to make beards is the 'hiding creme' or what you call it and so thats why they chose black probably since its the most promenent.

I remember while I was in school, I got the opportunity to train with them for a week with other kids from other schools. I really loved it, and I had lots of fun that week. I'm pretty sure I was the only one of those kids that did so! 😅 I sadly had an accident before being able to apply for becoming a fighter pilot which was my childhood dream.

Would anyone be interested in checking a video called “ Brigade Nord/Norweigian Armed Forces “ from seven years ago? One small part has what appears to be a MP-5 or lookalike under slung his main rifle. I must be totally off as that makes no sense to me.

It's a grenade launcher attachment for the HK-416 rifle. The MP5 is made by HK, hence the similar design.

@@dansken610 copy, and thanks friend. Downside to serve when M16-A2 with 235 launcher was newer and even at boot having a recruit going to be one of the first Apache mechanics and eventually a W.O. Because after repairs are made the mechanic had to make the first flight to check his/her work. Oh yes and BDUs weren’t that old either in 1984 as I finished B-2-3 at Dix. So basically thanks for helping the elderly mates!

I think this is the danish version of what we in Sweden call Jägare = Hunter ( english )It is the hardest when you are 18 years old doing military service. But it is not the special forces. The special forces in Sweden are called SOG and it is for military men not teen agers. SOG is secret and much harder than the Jägare=Hunter and they have secret equipment and training and is the most elit soldiers that Sweden can produce.

Yes every vid says they are 100% squared away and ready for almost anything. Their entire population seems highly motivated. Yes another country has in the past invaded and paid a heavy price. Hopefully they don’t try it again as it looks like you would be in a meat grinder!

@@henriklorenzen7516 yes they served righteously and honorably. And now a country leader not only started a war, with retrospect, bad intelligence; he has also has helped get Denmark, all Scandinavia , and Finland to agree to fight together. Ok with air forces but also the other NATO countries.

You can't really compare the Danish and Finnish military. Finland is fully focusing on territorial defence and mobilising as many bodies as possible. Denmark was fully expeditionary (which is starting to change now) and went all in on quality over quantity (Danish grunts are almost equipped like SF in most other militaries, but they have no mass for anything large scale when casualties start rising). Interestingly, the defence budgets and population sizes are very similar, although Finland of course has far more easily defensible land. Everyone wants to be like Finland today, since peer warfare in Europe is back on the table, but the Danish military was far more succesful in the expeditionary operations of the previous decades.
