2. Father-Daughter Dance usually comes after that
3. Mother-Son Dance follows that one.
As a former wedding DJ, this was usually played. I played the version with her and Billy Currington though. even better. The first dance is the couples choice. I would always play 4-5 fast songs and then slow it down for 2. this was in a slow set for sure.

She then had to go back & raise her 2 younger brothers then return to pursue music a decade later. She Says They Died Together & “ From This Moment On” they will always be together in love.

Your initial music choices for the night need to reflect who is dancing but they need to be about both romantic and familial love. After that, 95% of the formal part of the wedding/reception is complete and the dancing can begin. Out of respect for your bride and family you should stay sober all night, sorry. Have some drinks but a drunk groom is disrespectful and a drunk bride is an embarrassment.

At my first wedding (I’ve done it twice, have been a maid of honour and a bridesmaid several times and I can’t even count the times I was merely a wedding guest) we also had a buffet at midnight - right around when all the drunks and imbibers of “medicinal” herbs started getting the munchies. This even though we’d served cocktails and hors d’oeuvres before a 7-course dinner to 375 guests earlier in the evening.
