If anyone thinks the Bible is the "word of God" and not ancient authors speaking for their imaginary god, they need to read the below article from a critical Biblical scholar and spend some time reading the other articles on his website.
"So for example, when we read carefully what Yahweh says in the book of Leviticus, namely that the Aaronids (the sons of Aaron only), are high priests contrary to the Levites, that they alone are Yahweh’s mediators and the Levites are reduced to mere ministers of the Aaronids, that only through sacrifice can one atone for sins and not confession as preached by the Levites, or more precisely the Levite’s Yahweh, etc., *it can be no coincidence that in these laws and commandments,* ***which are placed on the mouth of Yahweh,*** *that Yahweh himself is presented advocating and legitimating the very views and beliefs of the specific priestly guild writing the text, and, contrary to the views and beliefs of their rivals, the Levites and the Levite’s Yahweh!* We will examine this more closely when we get to the contradictions in these books. But in short, this was the function of ancient literature, and we are allowing these ancient texts to speak for themselves. *In this particular case, the Levites and Aaronids wrote specific texts that each advocated their religious beliefs, views, and their position as high priests* ***by writing these sentiments directly into the mouth of their god!***
But just studying the Bible alone, scientifically, affords us the occasion *to see that many of these so-called words of Yahweh are* ***actually the very words of the texts’ authors.*** When we see numerous texts employing this ancient literary technique, and moreover, ***presenting Yahweh as the spokesperson for their own views and agenda,*** *and* ***contrary*** *to Yahweh’s other words in other texts written by other authors employing the same technique,* how can one conclude otherwise.
In other words, when in the composite text that we now call the Bible we find: Yahweh declaring that only Aaronids can officiate as his priests and Yahweh declaring that all Levites can officiate as high priest; Yahweh declaring that sin is atoned through confession and Yahweh declaring that sin is only expiated through the sacrificial cult, no exceptions; Yahweh declaring that he gave laws and commandments at Sinai and Yahweh declaring that he only gave the Ten Commandments at Sinai; Yahweh commanding to exterminate all the Canaanites without pity and Yahweh declaring to tolerate them and live in their midst; Yahweh declaring that the wilderness generation were disloyal and rebellious and Yahweh declaring that they were a paradigm of loyalty and faith; Yahweh declaring that he may be offered sacrifices at any altar and Yahweh declaring that there is only one altar where sacrifices are to be offered up; Yahweh declaring that the people saw him at Sinai and Yahweh declaring that they only heard his voice; Yahweh declaring that circumcision is an eternal covenant and keeping the land depends on observing this very commandment and Yahweh declaring the Mosaic laws as the covenant and keeping the land is dependent on keeping these laws; Yahweh declaring that he dwells in the midst of the people and Yahweh declaring that he only resides in heaven; Yahweh commanding Passover to be celebrated by all at Jerusalem and Yahweh commanding it to be celebrated at each person’s home; Yahweh commanding that animals for consumption must be ritually sacrificed and Yahweh commanding that they don’t have to be sacrificed ritually, etc. ***one must conclude that Yahweh is being used by these authors, each with their own contrary views and beliefs as a spokesperson for each of these authors’ agendas.*** These are all the personal, and competing, views, theological beliefs, and religious systems of our biblical authors. And this is only the tip of the iceberg."

The meaning of John 6:44 is not to be interpreted based on the singularity of the text. In context, the Jews were arguing with the Lord that they are the true worshipers of God because of the truth that they had eaten of the manna from heaven(v.32); and to which the Lord explained that it was in fact God who gave them the true bread from heaven, not Moses; and that everyone who eats of this bread will have eternal life(v.33). The Lord said that he is that bread, but in spite of the proof that he had shown them they still didn't believe him (v.36). And thus, the Lord said that if they were truly worshipers of God (John 4:23-24), they will believe in him as the Father will enable them to come to the him (v.44). What the Lord meant is that; if you truly believe in my Father whom you said that he's your God, then you must have been drawn to me by my Father because he sent me. The reason why you can not come to me and believe is because you do not believe in my Father whom you said that he is your God. That's what it meant of the Lord's statement in John 6:44. Notice carefully what the Lord said in verse 45--"It is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of God. *Every man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned of the Father, cometh unto me".* So, it means that if they were (the Jews) true believers of God, then they would have been drawn by God to the Lord Jesus Christ. And even when the Lord reiterated to them the claim that he is the bread which came from God (v.48-51) they still didn't believe, which only proved that they were not *_true believers_* of God the Father. That's the meaning of John 6:44.
Christians can still choose whether to continue in their faith or not. Verse 66 proves your statement wrong. God will not force anyone into heaven against his will. And the text proof for that truth that people can choose whether to reject Christ or not is Matthew 8:34-- the villagers from Gergesenes besought the Lord that he would depart out of their cost, and Jesus did depart as they don't want him to come.

@@paeng46 ? the prophecies of Jesus it is written that he will come in the name of his God, and thats what Jesus said I dont understand why now a days people dont listen to Jesus.
In every bible, the prophecy of Jesus of Bethelem [Micah 5:2-4], used also in the new testament [Matthew2:4-6] it is written in verse Micah 5:4 that Jesus will come in the name of HIS God and that's what Jesus said (John 20:17).
      ..
      Micah 5:2 And you, O Bethʹle·hem Ephʹra·thah,
The one too little to be among the thousands of Judah,
From you will come out FOR ME... the one to be ruler in Israel,
Whose origin is from ancient times, from the days of long ago.
4 He [Jesus] will stand up and shepherd in the strength of Jehovah,
In the superiority of the name of JEHOVAH..HIS GOD.
[Christian Standard Translation] 4 He [Jesus] will stand and shepherd [them] in the strength of Yahweh, in the majestic name of YAHWEH.. HIS GOD. They will live securely, for then His greatness will extend to the ends of the earth.
      --

The other day when I was visiting my grandmother at her home, I tried to remove (and destroy) a portrait of Mao that was hanging on her wall. She became furious and scolded me for taking down a picture of her "hero". I tried to reason with her by explaining that Mao was a mass murderer and an atheist. I insisted on destroying that picture of Mao because it promoted idolatry and communism. I even angrily asked her; "Do you love Mao more than Jesus" and "what does Jesus think about this". My grandmother then began lecturing me that it was disrespectful to destroy artifacts that have been in the family for generations. She had the picture of Mao since childhood, and she intends on keeping it as a reminder of our family history. After watching this video, I have realized that I was very hard on my grandmother for not listening to her side of the story, and being very rude and judgmental. I should have been more understanding of her situation, especially since she lived through the cultural revolution.

Earnest question: the Cult of the Aipis Bull is (was) a well-documented Egyptian thing. I don’t know time-wise if it lines up with the Israelites’ escape from Pharoh, but their (the Egyptians’ ) Bull-respect (perhaps TOO much bull respect) lasted a very long time, and it’s worship / attention/ breeding “home base” was oddly kinda away from the Nile. [could be wrong, but I think it was West.] Do y’all suppose this is a cultural thing the Wanderers had picked up from the Egyptians while with them ? Many [modern] priests and pastors have posited that the wandering in the desert lasted so long, it perhaps might’ve been G_d’s intention to allow older Israelites [those most familiar with Egypt’s ways] to pass away from age and hard living, leaving the younger folks who would’ve known the desert more than the system they escaped from … the Aipis Bull is unusual: when a non-Jew leading invader (said to be crazy) stabbed what was supposed to be a special white bovine, the Egyptians FREAKED out, a lot. Cambyses (not sure if it was Cambyses the First or the Second. I think he desecrated some mummified bodies, too. Anyhow, I’d appreciate & read all y’all’s thoughts on this. (I’m not a religious scholar, I’m just a history guy who finds much of this interesting. I’m not anti-Christian, and I’m not anti-Jew, and I’m not anti-Muslim, either. My given name-Jeremiah- does seem to suit how I think and talk though. I’m very anti-charlatan, I’m very anti-exploitation, and I’m exceedingly against false prophets (and there exist a LOT of those in quasi-modern times, so my ‘educated rage’ tends to get pointed mostly at those guys. The story as a whole is metaphorical prelude of what is to come regarding Jesus Christ. The people turned from God. The golden calf represents the royal splendor that was sought for in a messiah, but not seen in the true Messiah born in a barn. Jesus Christ represents the law. When they turned from God to the golden calf, the law was broken, just as when Jesus Christ was rejected, he was crucified. Because of these, destruction followed.
Numbers 19 The Lord told Moses and Aaron, 2 “This is the ordinance of the law that the Lord commanded that the Israelis be told: They are to bring you a spotless red heifer, without physical defect, that has never been fitted with a yoke.
Also metaphorically, Jesus Christ is the spotless red heifer who was never slave to sin, who is the sacrificial atonement for sin.

And how did they make a statue out of gold in a short amount of time in the middle of the scree desert - you need a mold for that and you have to melt a lot of gold? The calf was not worshiped itself, but instead of the (new) god YHWH. Even if this was a sin, the vengeance of Moses (God?) was not related to idol worship but because some of the refugees questioned Moses' leadership role. Moses had shortly before received the 10 commandments, one of the most important commandments was: "Thou shalt not kill" - and then shortly afterwards Moses massacres the refugees?! Then they move on to Canaan, destroy all the Canaanite temples there, murder all the priests, conquer the Canaanite cities by force and carry out a genocide ("Holocaust") of the entire population? Even though there was God's covenant with Noah, which was expressly addressed to ALL peoples (rainbow symbolism)?
And all this in the name of the "new god" YHWH?
That's roughly what it says in the Old Testament - if you really believed all of this to be true, Judaism would be the most cruel founding of a religion in (ancient) human history, despite the progressive "belief in one God"!
Of course, it can only be a myth of origin, which certainly had a core of truth, but did not happen as described in the Dead Sea Scrolls almost 1000 years later. The problem of the early Jews was that they were originally wandering nomads who, in contrast to the Mesopotamian or Egyptian high civilizations, did not yet have their own mythology. So one has used all the neighboring peoples and adapted their mythologies, reshaped them and invented new legends. Especially during the exile in Babylon 500 B.C. and afterwards, the Jewish Bible was not finally complete until about 200-300 AD!
What remains as a legacy for mankind is not only the then revolutionary one-god belief but also the elimination of the ancient "hocus pocus", superstition, occultism, incantation rituals, hundreds of demons in all walks of life and magical thinking. A new age of religion, knowledge of God and humanity began - certainly not perfect, but much better than anything that existed before 🙂

God told us not to make another god besides or any image of him in the sky, waters, or land. Yet what have we done? We have taken Jesus (his servant & messenger) and the Holy Spirit (which is the power & force of God) and made them equal to God Almighty.
And what about images? We have formed an image of a lamb (earthly creature), a dove (sky creature), and fish (water creature) to represent God - all breaking the 10 Commandments.
Christians - please repent 🙏🏼 And Serve the Creator alone. Not the creation.

Why doesn't it make sense? It shows quite plainly that a belief in a God of some kind is a natural instinct. Moses appeared not to be coming back, so they made their own arrangements. That is the first lesson. The second is the prohibition on giving God a likeness, an image that can be worshipped. With no idol to carry into battle, they found it difficult to believe that God was really there. They were also told that they should not have a king, because God was their ruler, but that didn't work either. The Catholic Church is aware of the problem, and gives its adherents plenty of tangible objects to see and feel.

Actually, most Christians do worship in Sunday, or the Lord's Day, which is the first day of the week. Does the Lord care which? There is more than just tradition. The Seventh Day Adventists look at scripture and, seeing no clear instruction, insist that the seventh day should be observed.
Other Christians look at the days the ancient scriptures worshipped on and decided on going with the first day.
Bottom line, according to revelation from GOD, the Sabbath was made for man, not vice versa. It was a day of rest and for doing GOD's work for his fellow man. But it was made for man's rest and for the rest of beasts. It was intended to benefit man.
In my LDS faith, the Lord specifically tells his prophets to worship on the Lord's Day, the first day of the week. It is done out of love and respect for Jesus Christ. That GOD would condemn a man, or men, for worshipping on the wrong day is abhorrent when the day was set aside for the betterment of man. And to say that the mark of the beast will revolve around the proper day one does worships is, to many, absurd!
If the Lord tells his prophets to worship on the first or seventh days of the week, so be it. But the Lord has not done this. If worshipping on the first day is the mark of the beast, the Lord has not declared this. The Sabbath was made for the betterment of man, not a means for his condemnation.

You assume that Moses received the ten commandments and law of carnal commandments the first time he ascended Mount Horab. We have no evidence this occurred. These happened the _second_ time he ascended the Mount. What happened the first time? According to the records we have, we don't know.
Moses descended the Mount the first time with tablets, but not necessarily the ten commandments. According to some extra-biblical accounts (accepted by the LDS faith), the first time Moses ascended Horab, he received the law of the gospel -- the same law Jesus taught in his ministry. He also received the Holy Priesthood as part of the gospel message, and even tho he and Aaron already held that priesthood, it was not held by the people at large.
The second time he descended is a matter of record. He had the ten commandments and he subsequently gave the lesser priesthood to the tribe of Levi. But we see that some of Moses’ own kin were displeased by this decision, for even tho they had the right to the Levitical Priesthood, they wanted the _higher_ priesthood, aka the Melchizedek, or Holy, Priesthood. This was held by Moses and Aaron, but denied to the rest of Israel. So Korah and his family decided to demand it from the Lord directly. Read *Numbers 16* and underline the word “holy” each time it appears. The LDS faith believes the Holy Priesthood has been part of the restored gospel, and that it's freely given to all male adults.
Moses went to bat for the nation of Israel, but then the Lord knew that in advance, so we’ll never know whether the Lord would have _really_ destroyed the people had not Moses intervened for them. 🌞🌛✨

Well, “worshipping the golden-calf” means that you make (child sacrifices/animal sacrifices/blood on the altar) for “worshipping the golden-calf.”
      Golden-calf worship = Baal worship
In Christianity, which is associated with ‘Jesus Christ/Jesus of Nazareth,’
do Christians perform (child sacrifices/animal sacrifices/blood on the altar)?
Also, after the destruction of the Second Jewish Temple in 70 AD by the Romans, Jews didn’t have a temple to go to to atone for their sins. Jews used to atone for their sins by: (1)animal sacrifices/(2)blood on the altar/(3)sacrificing the first born male of every Jewish mother/father to their religious icon.
After the destruction of the Second Jewish Temple, Judaism underwent a major diasporic period which resulted in large groups of Jews to flee all over the world.
Jews fleeing was mainly because of (persecution/Jews not having a way to atone for their sins because Jews do not believe in prayer). After the destruction of the Second Jewish Temple, Jews adopted a new custom of atoning for their sins via “the act of Metzitzah.”
A Jewish (mohel) puts his mouth to (suck/cleanse) the circumcised newborn males bleeding penis.
-you need a holy mouth, and holy genitalia.
      -Mohels = possessing holy mouths
-newborn males = possessing holy genitalia
Metzitzah is a way for Jews to atone for their sins. Metzitzah was adopted after the destruction of the Second Jewish Temple.
‘Jesus of Nazareth’ had issues of the Pharisees making up their own religious customs. The act of Metzitzah is one of them.

Thus, Aquarius in his zenith and the Sun in Taurus, Aaron (Mountaineer, because at the mount of God) formed his "molten calf." "He fashioned it with a graving tool, after he had made it a molten calf" (Ex. 32.4). That is, having conceived the idea, the myth-maker traced the outline of the calf (Taurus) out of the mixed (the word rendered "molten" is better translated mixed), or commingled stars, and thus brought them within the proper form. The Lord, having discovered Aaron's calf, said unto Moses: "Go; get thee down," and see to this “stiff-necked people." So, Moses " turned and went down from the mount (he didn't come down on the side by which he went up, but he went down on the opposite side), and the tables of the testimony were in his hand " (Ex. 32.15). As soon as he came nigh unto the camp (the western horizon, or the place of his setting), he saw the calf and his dancing (Taurus was then "dancing" in the zenith), and Moses' anger waxed hot (literally, in the original, Moses' nose became red; Aquarius sets head first), and he cast the two tables (the two halves of the year) out of his hand, and brake them beneath the mount " (Ex. 32.19). Yes; "he brake them beneath the mount," not at its foot, but beneath, under the mount, i.e., below the equator at the winter solstice, where the year ended, as he still does every year. At the same time Moses (Aquarius) passing his meridian, the Sun being in Scorpio, " took the calf (Taurus setting), which they, (Moses and Aaron) had made, and burned it in the fire (western twilight), and ground it to powder (setting, Taurus became invisible), and strewed it upon the water (the former rain), and the children of Israel (summer constellations) drink of it " (Ex. 32.20). That is, when Taurus set, the Sun rose in Scorpio, and the rainy season, or winter, began, to be followed by the dry season which drank up the water. Moses is still "alive" as the constellation Aquarius. As Janus, he gives us January. With his water pot he is unruly in January (heavy rains), just like Reuben.

There is also Dinah, the daughter of Jacob (darkness) and Leah (darkness). She is the Latin Diana/Greek Artemis. As a Moon goddess she is found in many myths. Jericho refers to the moon and not a city. This word is taken from Yerah/Yerach, the moon. One of the "sons" of Joktan (Jacob) is named Jerah. Note where Joktan has 13 sons aka the zodiac of 13 signs.

The "deaths" of Aaron (summer solstice in Leo) and Moses (winter solstice in Aquarius) marked the precession of the equinoxes from the Bull to the Ram. Aaron (high sun) also had the title of Cohen Aldebaran. To this day, the Jews and Christians worship the Aries constellation as "God." You can follow the adventures of this God by following his journey through the zodiac. From the spring equinox to the autumn equinox, this God is good (light greater than darkness/Ahura Mazda). From the autumn equinox to the spring equinox, this same God is evil (darkness greater than light/Ahriman).
The six days, in Genesis one, is the period from the spring equinox to the autumn equinox. The six nights is the period from the autumn equinox to the spring equinox.
