Primm, Nevada | The Makings of a Ghost Town | How Do They Keep the Lights On?

This trip took place the first week of March 2024. Wow, this place is dead! So sad to see the current state of affairs here, 20 years ago it was a fun place to stay for cheap and avoid the crowds of Vegas. The outlet stores have been closed for years, another hotel/casino joined them during covid. It was so weird to walk into one of the casino/hotels and see no one there but a security guard and the flashing lights of slot machines with no customers. Security informed me that only Buffalo Bills was checking in guest, he made it sound like you could stay at any of the other 2 resorts but I doubt that? FWIU the steadiest earner is the Lotto Store just across the California line which sells mostly to Vegas residents, and the other main customers are tourists from places where 10 miles between towns is a long way between towns, topping up their gas tanks before heading further into the desert.

From Bakersfield, I passed by Primm on my first visit to Vegas I truly regret not stopping as I really wanted to see the small mysterious town … Loved Nevada every bit 💙
