When it opened in 1994, Desperado had the largest drop of any roller coaster in the entire world! Sad to see such an iconic coaster rotting away. Seems like there is a good chance it never reopens.

That drop is pretty intense, if I may say so. I've been on it young and older. And stayed there too. It's a great hotel but definitely worth a pit stop. They have had good food there too. And an outlet next to it.

Eddie's World is now a family tradition. When we come back from Vegas, we always stop there. The food is so good and the candy selection is off the charts!

Primm used to be active, now its a ghost town kind of. Especially that mall

I really hope they make a comeback. I remember it being new also and would love to visit again. Dont care about a 30 buck resort fee. Sad the coaster isn’t going. Ive ridden it and it’s intense.
Kind of reminds me of a place I stopped at on the way to death valley, looks cool, shame it seems to be in need of some tlc

That first "old car" you seen was the car that law enforcement used when they shot and killed Bonnie & Clyde. they had both cars there, along with the clothing and personal items, because they were supposed to place them on a stage surrounded by Bonnie & Clyde themed slot machines. That was the original idea coming out of the pandemic, but looks like that didn't come to pass. Looking at the dire situation the entire Primm area is in, I wouldn't be surprised if they just end up re shuttering that place.

The Desperado is closed forever sadly. I was there last week and asked upper management and they said it cost way more to reopen the ride and that a part from Europe is needed but is too expensive. R.I.P

we usually stop there on our way back home from vegas, to use the restroom and eat and spend what is left from our trip to vegas.

I rode the Desperado coaster many times over the years and it was a great coaster. It's too bad it's shut down. I think the coaster was originally put in to try and draw people from Vegas to come down to Primm. Overall, I never understood the necessity of any of the hotels in Primm. Drive another half hour and you're on the Vegas Strip where the hotels are much nicer. The $29 resort fee is ridiculous when you consider that most of the facilities at the hotel are not functioning. If someone wants budget accommodations they only need to drive another half hour and they can stay in Excalibur or Luxor.

Fun fact: same people who built Buffalo bills roller coaster also designed the one at ny by and a lot of the designs were from the same people too!
That resort fee is probably a desperate way to keep revenue going. Went to BB today…half the restaurants closed, no arcade (whatever is left of it), rides closed for good it seems, tram to Primm Valley is long out of operation, nothing for kids to do and mediocre gaming options. Most of all it was dead. Hardly anybody there and even less employees.
This place was kick ass in the 90s and early 2000s.
That was the actual car and clothing that Bonnie and Clyde were killed in that you seen. They use to have the display at the other casino across the freeway but they moved it to BB recently.
From what I heard they do plan to open the rides again and that they kept up maintenance on them this whole time. The roller coaster was the highest and fastest when it first opened if I recall correctly. The new renovated rooms they just did while closed from covid look good from what I seen as well. I would stay there. Great video Jay. By the way to dadcation sorry but I think Lenwood the better stop because of the Orginal Del Taco.🤤 Its a must stop to me. 👍

I used to stop there. Primm Valley mostly. Stayed at all did all the coasters. 👍Recall the price $10 room. Crazy.

I have always liked Primm. I miss the Desperado. Buffalo Bills is my jam... especially with the Arcade and the movie theater they had. Never been at Whiskey Petes either 😂😂

Not worth it. But I did always stay at Whiskey Pete's as it was always better than riding the congested traffic back to Los Angeles on a Sunday afternoon/night. And $5 pizza slice was nice across the freeway at the 'resort?' place. I like to see the place open again. Did Whiskey Pete's ever close? I hope not.

@@Jaycation Be careful what you wish for. Going to AC after just 1 time in LV is like staying at the Circus Circus motor lodge after a week in a Cosmo wrap around suite.
A few years back some friends and I stopped here in hopes of riding the roller coaster, but were told it was closed due to wind. The log flume was still going, so we tried it out. They didn't have the target shooting going on, so it turned out to just be a really really REALLY tame log ride. Looked cool how it went thru the casino and all, but sadly definitely was not worth the money :(

Nike is doing fine. they just re-adjusted their structure with outlets and clearance stores.
That whole outlet at Primm is dead. I think there’s like 3-4 stores remaining now. Used to be booming
Yeah unfortunately the rides will never reopen, I used to work there in rides. They took out Turbo Drop, 3D motion ride, etc. and when I used to work there back in 2012, they been losing money for 3 years. And not maintaining the rides, it’s still not making money
