Thanks for taking one for the team, Jay
Thank you for the review of the Luxor Buffet. The atmosphere is kinda gloomy with the theme being in a tomb like setting. But yes, the food looks just ok and would suffice if you are traveling with a family that has a whole bunch of hungry teens that eat literally anything. This buffet would probably suffice, lol! And the price is about par with what's happening in Vegas. Keep up the good work!👍
People who want a hot deal and have no standards will love Luxor, it sucked 5 years ago when made the mistake of trying it… and it still sucks.
Awful food quality, Nothing fresh, minimal made in house dishes… Most everything is bought out and pre made.
Majority of the food looks like its been sitting all day not to mention the entire service area looks sloppy & messy.
Thanks for taking one for the team…
Love to see the update on the wicked spoon since it’s one of my favorite buffets!
Awesome job jay with the vlog thumb up.
Hi Jay, great video. The atmosphere looks nice and the price is not too expensive. I love that you can have breakfast as well as dinner. I love breakfast pizza, so I would definitely try that, and hopefully, the prime rib is not as well done as the one you ate and more to the medium side. Overall, it's not bad. I would give it a try.
I love your honesty. Thank you!
You’re so sweet and handsome too❣️
Your comment on the price is on point. Compared to last year, it appears they somewhat upgraded the menu but also the price.
Great 👍🏽 Video
Yup, dry prime rib is a deal-breaker. Thank goodness it was closed when I was gonna use the MyVegas BOGO! 😆
Great video
much appreciation for always honest reviews! i don't like dry meat haha.
Not sure why everyone is ranking the excalibur buffet over the luxor. I can see how the interior of the Excalibur is more appealing, but we dont eat with our eyes only, do we?
Visited vegas twice in the last 2 months and both times ate at all 3 for breakfast/brunch - Luxor, Excalibur, and MGM Grand Buffets and my group unanimously voted Luxor to be the best. MGM Grand coming in 2nd and Excalibur constantly disappointing with subpar food that was way over salted. MGM Grand lacked variety and their prime rib was by far the worst and I would not even want to bring up how bad their sushi was.
Our rankings were also based on how well the food went down and how we felt throughout the day while exploring and touring.
90% of all the food stations were messy. You see a bunch of workers but on one is keeping it clean.
Wow that shirt is great where can I get one? The buffet looks amazing all of the Egyptian statues and architecture everywhere i love it
That Egyptian dog statue is apparently called Anubis and is likely used as a protector, warning symbol, and guide. Anubis had multiple functions as the deity of embalming, funerary-ritual, and mummification, as well as the protector of body and spirit of pharaohs and associated artifacts, and a warning symbol to outside invaders.
Have you tried the Sunday buffet at the M resort in Anthony's Prime Steak & Seafood yet? Keep up the good work.
I have heard really good things about M...
Did the all you can drink deal at the Excalibur for about the same price. It was awesome
We were there last year, and were very disappointed. Seems they're still lacking in keeping the buffet clean. Excalibur buffet puts Luxor to shame. Better buffets (Bellagio, Wynn, Ceasars) on our list for our trip this summer.
Which is wild because I feel Excalibur is complete trash… Wynn or AYCE at Palms, anything less is a serve yourself IHOP.
M resort is supposedly really good just have not been yet.
Skip Bellagio and Wynn and go to the one at Cosmo
Thanks for the Luxor review Jay. FYI, the Egyptian dog was the ancient Egyptian God Anubis.
your word is good enuff for me Jay.
It's so dang dark in there. I need a bright clear light. I need to see what I am getting. Good job Jay!
I like the knights clothes. I didn’t get to eat a buffet in April.
I like the Luxor as a whole but the buffet never did it for me outside of the aesthetic. I miss the buffet at Mandalay bay and would rather walk over to the Excalibur then eat at the Luxor buffet.
Thanks for the review. for the price it just looks ok ,nothing special. I appreciate a honest review.
most of the Buffets are awesome....so much food to pick from...insane...had cheesecake at the strat....freaking super tasty
Hope that you and the family are all well i have been on vacation in austria for 2 months and didnt have a computer missed jaycation
Hi Jay and thanks for the warning about the Luxor buffet. Yeah, it didn’t look that good and I admire your courage. I’m older and remember 99¢/$1.99/$2.99 B/L/D at Circus Circus. LOL Since you mentioned Mikey, I’ve been trying to get the Vegas CZcamsrs to try a place he tried during the height of the pandemic. I didn’t want to mention him as I thought many might not know him. You do. I followed his high praise and went and OMG he was so right. When I went they didn’t know who he is and that he visited. He did eat on the hood of his rental car. I’ve been trying to get the locals to give it a go but to no avail. I like trying to recommend small local places in Mikey’s spirit. So I may have asked you but I gave you some more background. On your next visit please try Los Arcos Taqueria it’s a Birria place par exelance. They make goat and beef Birria tacos and they are awesome. It’s at 2201 S. Maryland Pky. I hope you go and enjoy. Good video!
We were there last week and I used a 2 for 1 buffet deal from the myvegas slots mobile game, it made the experience for the 3 of us a bit better. Was it great? no but it was not terrible either if you used the deal I got then go for it otherwise Id try for the wicked spoon at the cosmo
Jay let’s go review Crossroads in the Resorts World!!
I'm with you Jay! I ate there once and that was enough. For me, the sign of a good buffet is how many options they have that aren't just piles of cheap carbs. As you can see from the video there are lots of breads going on. You get to the carving station and the few choices they had looked dry and bland. While you can find enough to fill you up here, it's all just meh.
If I'm going to overeat on a buffet, I'll just step up and go to one of the nice ones. But really, once you pay for a nice Buffet, you might as well sit down at one of the dozens and dozens of amazing Strip restaurants and get a great meal that doesn't involve touching the same serving utensils as everyone else, haha.
It looks like one of those plain but “good enough” buffets
I'm not a buffet type of person. The last time I ate at a buffet was at the Cosmo's Wicked Spoon way back in 2015! But I did eat at the Luxor's buffet. It's way way back in 2009. 😅
Thanks Jay. Not sure if I'd want to eat in a tomb 🤣 great video as always 👍
Luxor ambience is cool. I like it, but the food is just OK. Too pricey for what you get. Agree it should be around $15.
I never had breakfast pizza until Las Vegas buffets. Love them. Haven't had a bad one yet.
The flan liquid is a light caramel sauce. Love it. We run a knife around the edge of the flan then flip it over, remove the wrapper so that the botton is now on top and the sauce is now on top dripping down the sides.
Please try the MSS buffet again and Wicked Spoon.
Forgot to mention, the Egyptian dog is also called Anubis. Saw it in the movie The Mummy. Looks like a jackal too.
Jay your the man
Hey Jay, It's the Egyptian God Anubis 😉 now you know! Love your content always.
Doesn’t look bad buffet to me 🤔Bad is not my opinion 🙂Thank you Jay 🙂👍!!!
I like Hawaiian Frost, but would not mix the Blue vanilla with the chocolate. They taste good individually. However, I won’t be eating at this buffet because it’s not clean. You went at a slow time, and there were plenty of employees visible, yet most of the counters were filthy.
Oh yea place looks like a dump
went there a few times in the past. never liked it being downstairs and got a weird vibe from it .
The buffet at Luxor used to be pretty good 15 years ago. Excalibur too. Way more options
Luxor’s buffet always looked nice decor-wise. The food was always on the meh side compared to even Excalibur; kind of between Circus Circus (lowest end) and MGM Grand (low/moderate) there were plenty of better buffet choices back 10 years or so ago and even further back. Perhaps fewer now, post-Covid.
Even at lousy buffets you can usually find a few items you like and pig out on them. I think the price is too high for what you are getting, but if you're going to eat on the strip then you will be ripped off no matter where you go.
You Broke the 90k !!!!!
@Jaycation do you need to pay for the buffet to do the all you can drink deal? Lol
Haha yea
I will go there just to get a little of the blue and give me some of that yellow
Have stayed at Luxor a lot and never had any interest in going to the buffet. It's dark down there but the decor is cool. Food options seem very limited but for the price you can see why people go there
The dogs are known as Salukis; they are the athletic mascot for Southern Illinois University-Carbondale.
This place looks pretty decent, $30 isn't too bad, and the layout looks authentic!
Somebody has to be the last on the list. Now everyone will go there and try it out.
I used to work there!
Where are you from brother?
Whats a good buffet if you want some seafood? That doesent close at 3pm....or whats a good seafood buffet thats not on the strip
The Egyptian cat is a sphinx✌✊🤙
good review, will pass on that buffet, now on to the wicked spoon!!!
Is having a snowball fight with pitching great Randy Johnson,a bad idea?
I’d say that it’d probably just be your average buffet wherever, but for being on vacation on the Vegas Strip, probably not worth the visit!
Rather go to Denny's…. atleast I know it is most likely fresh and made to order.
I recommend Cosmopolitan not Ceasars which was surprising bad.
We noticed that every counter was full of food droppings. Was anyone cleaning up??
Stay away from booze at a buffet. It is just a filler, like pizza and mashed potatoes. Save room for the good stuff, like the carved meats and crab legs
That Beef Looks Like Rubber😂
I used to go there many times in the 2010-20s. It looks run down now. Not very clean or well maintained. The food did not look appetizing. And my biggest observation, there was no one there. Those booths used to be filled and about 15- 25 minute wait times in line at the check in. I think there are better options for $29.
It was bad 20 years ago and I swore I wouldn’t eat there again.
Wasn’t there some kind of deal where you pay one amount for 24 or 48 hours and you can go to any buffet (from the same overall property?)
Caesars properties pre covid. No more.
That was before the mass hysteria of 2020
@@Allthingshotels people are still hysterical over it
My GF and I stayed there last year. We weren't really impressed with the food there
That buffet looks filthy!! So gross!! But on the other hand, this was a great, entertaining video!! Keep up the good work!!
was there in November, food was mostly breakfast as we went on sunday and it was very expensive. Food wasnt that great, best buffet in vegas for the money is at southgate.
If you re referring to South Point, yes their buffet is decent… Best value buffet going right now is probably AYCE at Palms. Price vs quality is pretty equal.
Im staying at Luxor in September after this I think I’m gonna skip the buffet
You should honestly skip Luxor entirely.
@@rustynail6819 I’ve always wanted to stay there and I got a tower suit so I’ll be ok
Wise choice.
the luxor isnt a bad option i have stayed there twice i highly recommend the Diablos cantina its the best mexican food i have ever had
If your budget allows, review buffets or all you can eat brunches in your homebase of San Diego. While that city is more expensive, the scenery is like nothing else.
I love the lux and the buffet is not bad
❤❤❤
Anubis is the name of the Egyptian god aka the black dog
Gonna guess those "dogs" are jackals.
Looks pretty vacant. Not exactly a vibe there.
Hey Jay, save some food for me.
👍👍😁
They’re Pharaoh Hounds!
That prime rib looked super dry
the buffet is a little bit dirty. they need to clean the counter tops where the food is.
The buffets that survived Covid are a stark reminder of why most buffets died with Covid. $30-$60 for mediocre food. Sure the quantity is unlimited but the quality is just 'meh.' I can do Ocean One Bar and Grill for lunch and Ellis Island Village Pub for dinner for the same price as the Luxor Buffet....it really begs the questions what's the point of the buffets anymore? I don't think there is one anymore. The market has doubled down support for traditional restaurants, not buffets. That's not really a bad thing, it just means when you're looking for a quality meal with a good value you must sit down at a regular restaurant, not a buffet.
Prime Rib WITH DONUTS!!!!! Great !!!!!!!!
Dogs are jackels. Anubis would be standing. Thanks for taking one for team. Love the theme but buffet is a pass.
We were in Vegas for 1 week last year and the buffet at Luxor was easily the worst meal I had during the entire week.
I ate at the Luxor buffet years ago and it was GREAT. I ate there last fall and it was truly AWFUL! I mean, AWFUL. On my way out, I warned persons waiting in line to eat elsewhere.
Luxor is giving Golden Corral vibes
Good Morning Jaycation It Was Horrible🤢My Husband And I Was Never Again.
Pharoah hounds.
it would be more appetizing if it weren't so filthy
As good as the Excalibur resort
so basically dog shi-t
This is what happens when Nicky Santoro is not keeping an eye on the business.
Jay, for me, it's a NO... The place was empty, and filthy, and screamed food service so loud, I had to turn your video down! Gross, my man... I always love pointing out the best in what I enjoy, but they have got me on this one! Circus always had the most terrible AYCE on the strip, but it wasn't $30 for that line up, to be sure! I just couldn't find anything food related that was redeeming~ Oh, and there was an empty room, with ton's of employees, and everything needed to be cleaned, stocked, rotated... Nothing....
Cheers!
Excalibur is way better
NO AND NOOOO! I HAVE TRIED AND GIVE A SECOND CHANCE ON THIS BUFFET AND STILL NASTYYYYYYY! SO SAD ...
Ugh. It looks like a Holiday Inn Express breakfast Buffett.
“Can’t get that wrong”…come on man you too critical.
I’ll do you a favor, the Wynn buffet has gone down in quality over the years, but they just need to improve the carving station.
Nothing but Love for Jay though.
all i can think is all that waste at the end of the day
Wynn buffet again, it’s been a while….
yes it not good at all
Looks like a college cafeteria
Yes it is that bad.
