Thank you for this, walked that route many many times this has bought back many happy memories I think we stopped at nearly all the camps over the years.
It's such a shame! Except for the past 5 years, we used to go yearly to towyn and take little trips to rhyl. I remember there was a jungle gym that has closed down now but I used to go there when I was a child. Such fond memories and I'm hoping to visit sometime soon once this whole pandemic has come to an end!
Depressingly it was not much more deserted than the last time I visited pre plague. Let's hope that there will be a resurgence of domestic holidays when it's all over and Rhyl might be able to recover to the glory days when I left in 1971.

Great memories of here in early to mid 90s when it was still booming the decline hadn’t started yet

Me watching this well causally sitting in my house by Towyn crossroads
This makes me so upset every year we go to North Wales and visit rhyl :-(
That actually looks like a normal day in Rhyl. It's dead. DCC has killed it off.
That’s so sad 😭
Sad times mate .I went 2 weeks ago slightly better but far from normal
