But I did hear the news that the government pulled the series from streaming services and halt the airing from the mainstream TVs because they want to limit extravagant palace dramas, but I read online that it returned to broadcast after a while. And this series was considered a flop compared to Yanxi palace because of that issue (Yanxi was pulled down too but after it finished airing the whole series on TV)

Whats the point of becoming Empress if you're already the reigning Imperial Noble Consort? I mean you already have the power and authority of an Empress but why bother fighting for the title.
I believe that the empress has more authority, compared to an imperial noble consort, the empress is the first rank and also has the title of the main wife "first/legal wife" which allows the children of the empress to have more advantage to become crown prince (the next emperor). The imperial noble consort is only a replacement of the harem but is not the main wife and doesn't give chances for the princes/princesses to be called legitimate children.
如果能跟魏瓔珞一樣只做皇貴妃，結局應該會比較好。
