I’ve gotta get back to trying competitive games again. Hard to do when there’s always the worry of toxicity.

Sometimes folks reference how bad things used to be like you said, as a way of saying "get over it, it could be worse". But it's like what they're missing is it could also be even BETTER than it is now.
We need more positive gamers out there for sure.

The target audience will never watch this, and continue to giving up on games and trying to pass blame on others to save their ego.

Maybe not directly for some who are just really committed to being turds, but I think the target audience is all of us.
For example, even though I’m not going to initiate negative/toxic behavior, hearing someone speak to these issues so thoughtfully bolsters me against toxicity so that when I do encounter it I’m less likely to respond in a way that makes it worse. Or maybe even helps me respond in a way that does have a directly positive impact.

..A large part of that is people instinctively know their surroundings are unnatural but can't identify it exactly or don't know what to do about it. Everything in their lives has been someone else always playing their Superior, being passed along from parents to teachers to bosses to govt, and that feeling of powerlessness translates into extracurricular activities like games, even bars where people will be toxic and fight. The coping ones with the altered mindset to not instinctively rebel but accept are the crazy ones. So-called insanity is a Natural response to an unnatural living condition. Lashing out is instinct reacting in an unhealthy way. Better yourselves and become less dependent on "Superiors," and your power will return to you.
