- Our visit at the Four Corners National Monument, the only location in the United States where four States converge together. This is pretty remote but definitely a great place to see in your lifetime, especially if you are road tripping through the area on your way to the other parks.
Thank you Adam, I am 81 years old and this is the first time I ever heard about Four Corners National Monument. I have traveled through all four of those states, but was unaware that monument existed . Hey ya larn somethin new every day. ...Ken

Wow it's all built up now. When I visited four corners in 1968 it was just a large concrete area with the cross in the center and the states marked off. I remember having to go up a few stairs to get to it. Then there was a trail you could go on and see some dinosaur track that had petrified in the rock. I was a bit skeptical of the tracks.
That *is* an awesome place to visit. I was there in the Summer of 2006. Hot as blazes that day. Those booths you showed near the start were *all* in use by native people of various tribes, selling a variety of arts and crafts, and all were fascinating. I spent a lot of time browsing them.
You two were made for each other.

That is the same area where Hantavirus was first diagnosed in the US. Hanta Pulmonary Syndrome was the main problem, CDC tested for various viruses and bacteria and found it was related to Hantaan virus which we saw during the Korean war.

If you ever come up to South Dakota, you need to drive through the Badlands National Park. Plan the drive to take 4 hours through the park. Lots of places to pull off and sight see on the road. Very beautiful landscape there. It's on the way to Mt. Rushmore so you can mark 2 things off of your travels bucket list.

When you plan your return trip to Mesa Verde ABSOLUTELY include Chaco Canyon (a little south and east of Farmington, NM). You will need a full day to see it as it should be.
I totally would have drove the hour and a half to shake your hand and thank you for the knowledge in person had I known you were gonna be there.
We have a similar point down here, three countries, Netherlands, Belgien, and Germany come together in one spot ( Coördinates: 50° 45' 16" N, 6° 1' 15" E Decimal: 50.7545, 6.02083 ).

Video, Adam (I know: the wind, we could still hear you) Four Corners ... hmm. We have a similar location in Australia, though there is really nothing there except a monument. Interesting thing: The place is called Cameron's Corner and is where South Australia, Queensland and New South Wales (my state) meet. It was surveyed in 1880-1882 by John Brewer Cameron, and as surveyed, was some 20 metres out due to wear in the surveying chain! So, there is an historical and an actual 'post, and yes you can stand in all three states at once. Keep up the vids, Adam (and Abby).

Adam you all be sure to make it back to Monument Valley. It is absolutely awesome. Was there last fall with our Airstream Southwest Caravan and spend most of the day touring out of Gouldings.

Thanks for the "Preview" of "Four Corners". We are going to Southeast Utah in May 2023 and we are going to make the trip to 4 Corners. I may have missed it in your video but what time of the year did you guys go?
It was mid April. Just stopped there again for the second time exactly 4 years minus 1 day.
Hey man, been there! You're very close to the astonishing Anasazi ruins in Chaco Canyon near Farmington NM. Not to be missed, as impressive as the Pyramids. Shame you missed Mesa Verde, very beautiful, and a great drive to get up on the mesa.
We stayed overnight in Farmington but didn't know about that spot.
Abom, we camped overnight in Farmington too, at a place that was all paved and had an elaborate model train setup in the office. You should Google Anasazi and see if the remainder of your trip takes you near any of the structures they left behind. Pre-historic indigenous American builders of amazing structures, and the forefathers of the modern day Pueblo people. A very interesting and apparently little known part of American history. Hope you made it to Earthship World Headquarters in Taos. My wife & I visited there 3 years ago while we were in Taos.
Here in Canada we share a road in a small town right down the middle. One side of the road is Canada 🇨🇦 the other side United States 🇺🇸.
It's always wild to see places like that exist.
Your travel videos are really coming along. At your level of production, you need to consider getting a windscreen mic of some kind for these windy locations, as the audio is very difficult to listen too. A good quality wireless lapel mic would go a long way in eliminating a lot of the background noise. Just a thought...

If you are going to Colorado, I recommend a trip on the Durango & Silverton Railroad or the Cumbres and Toltec Scenic Railroad.
We’ll be doing the Silverton railroad later this year. Got a trip in the planning stages.

Take time brother, take time to injoy your life, take time with your marriage, (my wife and I have a hot date night once a week). I would tell you to travel young as much as possible, as you get order, you may not want to or not be able to. It's not all about work, but get out of debt as soon as possible it will help ease the stress. thank you for a good video

I'm surprised there wasn't a line while you were there. I was there about a month ago and I had to wait probably 15 minutes to get pictures at the center. Wonder if its an everyday thing, or something.... Great video!
I’m sure it’s based off the season, but people are traveling much more now than in 2019.

In Arizona you were in a different time zone because they do not use daylight saving time.
In that corner they do. The Navajo Nation has the northeast corner of Arizona and they participate in the daylight saving plan.

What’s the best reason to visit the Four Corners? I’d say to comply with 4 different state laws at one time.

Yes it is, I love the classic look of them. They look like dial indicators.
@@AbomAdventures They do have a nice look. I just wish they used a better movement. The movement in Shinola watches is extremely cheap. My understanding is that if your watch has made it past the first year you should be OK. I have 3 or 4 co-workers with them (I work right near their facility so Shinola is fairly popular here in the D), and 2 of them have had to have their watches repaired within the first 2 or 3 months. In the end the movement failed.
I think you'll be in good shape though as I've seen you wear that watch for a while now. Well past the time of "infant mortality".
