    In this video, pro freestyler @DJDiveny will teach you 5 secret tips to improve soccer juggling with your feet, thighs, shoulders, and head. You'll also learn 5 main tips that will be super helpful to leveling up your ball control. Written steps below

    1:58 Juggling step 1: Ankle Locked
    Keep your foot in a neutral position with toes pointed up slightly when going to hit the ball
    2:23 Juggling Step 2: Let the Ball Drop
    Don't try to make contact with the ball until it drops below knee height. This will make the next touch easier to control
    2:45 Juggling Step 3: Hit the Bottom of the Ball with Laces Near Toes
    You don't want to make contact using the tips of your toes, but don't use your ankle either. You want to use the top part of the foot close to the toes and be sure to connect with the bottom center of the ball. The ball will move opposite direction from wherever it's hit. So, if you hit the bottom center, it will go straight up
    3:29 Juggling Step 4: Kick From Knee Down
    Don't swing your whole leg straight from your hip. Let the ball go below knee height, then swing your leg mostly from the knee down until the laces make contact with the bottom of the ball
    4:20 Juggling Step 5: Adjust!
    Be ready to react in case the touch isn't perfect (it rarely is). When the ball moves, you move. Get to the position needed quickly so you can complete another touch with the same technique!
    11:21 SECRET TIPS
    1) If you're new or struggling - Start with one touch at a time and catch the ball with your hands.
    This way, you can work solely on the kick/technique and not worry about chasing the ball around or getting frustrated
    2) Use bounces
    If you have the technique at least kind of down, go for continuous touches, but be free to let the ball bounce in between. This gives you more time to adjust!
    3) Record a video
    If you have a camera or smart phone, record yourself juggling and compare your technique to the technique shown in this video or others. Even compare to the pro player you'd like to be like. This will help you notice the details you may be missing
    4) Learn some tricks
    You may not use juggling tricks in a game, but focusing on achieving a new trick will inevitably give you many more touches juggling the ball. Those repetitions will help you improve drastically and it will be a more fun way to make progress
    5) Change the object and set goals
    If you have the hang of juggling try a tennis ball, or even an american football. This will increase the challenge and force you to react and adjust more quickly while requiring more exact technique. With a regular ball, set specific achievable goals so you know you're making progress!

    aye man this was the best video ever on this subject... Although I still have one more question tho, do boots and ball matter? Cuz rn Im doing it barefoot with a $20 target ball... And Im having a hard time... Like my juggles always have backspin, and sometimes it gives a really bad touch even tho I always try hitting the ball with "correct" part of the foot which is what you said between the toes and the ankle... But what happens is sometimes it just kinda of slaps the ball if that makes sense and it barelly even go up and with backspin... Idk what Im doing I just wanna learn the proper technique so I can do dead juggles ya know when the ball doesnt spin at all while juggling... Anyway thats it, it would help a lot if you vould answer my questions :)

      Great question!
      If you are good at juggling you can do it with almost and ball or any shoes or even barefoot, but if we're just talking about juggling and improving juggling wear comfortable indoor shoes and a better training ball like official match ball or match ball replica and keep it slightly deflated making it easier to control especially for tricks.

    Tips summary
    1. Kick with your laces
    2. Kick from the bottom of the ball
    3. Lock your ankles and toes
    4. Kick from knee down and not with your thigh too
    5. Adjust, follow the ball in the direction it's going with your body

    I've been trying to learn juggling for over year (not continuously tho) the best I've ever got was 3 it purely out of luck the ball was flying all over. I randomly saw your video and practiced for 30 mins and I got 5 clean kick ups. I guess not all heros wear capes

    • foot is locked and stiff (it wont wobble with contact to ball)
    • foot is curled up
    • hit the ball as it gets closer to the ground (avoid lifting your legs too much)
    • contact with laces of the foot nearer to the toes
    • contact with the bottom center of the ball (bottom closer to body - goes further , bottom further to body - comes closer)
    • kick the ball with main movement from the knee, not the hips
    • adjust/adapt your technique; follow the ball in the direction it goes from your body
    -> practice one touch at a time to isolate and analyse bite-sized technique
    -> film

    Hey man great video, I’ve been practicing for a week and have made good progress but one big problem I’ve run into is I have crazy backspin it’s too much, also the ball is going really low this results in the ball only going slightly below my knees with crazy backspin, any advice.

    The biggest challenge with me atm with all these tutorials is the point of contact , some tell that it should be around the laces area which makes the ball a spinning beyblade and some say that it should be near the toes to avoid the backspin and keep in control , iam really confused on where to hit the ball

      @@soccerzoneusa oh alright thanks i mean my right foot is able to consistently hit from that part but most of the times i loose control now is because of my weak foot coz iam not able to hit the ball consistently from that part

    Hit my pr recently at 10,500. Took me about 1 hour, 45 minutes. No way I can keep count that high, I just know I'm good for an average of about 100 touches per minute. I impart backspin on the ball with 99% of my touches, which for me helps with control.

    this video has helped me get from 5 juggles to 150 and is by far the best video on this subject on youtube but I have a question and it’s about the different types of feet juggling.
    is there a difference between toebox/laces juggling? if so which type of juggling would this be?

      Once you get going (congrats on 150!) the style is up to you. Ultimately the goal is mastery and control of the ball so it’s great to work on both and even try the inside/outside of foot or your heels! 😮

      great question. you don't need to learn how to juggle at all technically speaking in order to play football, but if you mean learn tricks, there are plenty of freestyle skills that don't require much juggling. However, it took me a few years of consistent practice to master juggling basics and learn and master basic tricks like around the world, neck stall, etc

    Is the grip on different balls different And dose it effect the juggling ?

      it definitely can! But ultimately the key factor to getting good at juggling is practicing. These tips should help.. To answer your question more thoroughly, a cheaper, plastic like ball with very smooth surface and fully inflated will be the most difficult to juggle. Balls properly inflated, not as cheaply made (will hit/bounce better), and have rough texture will be easier to juggle. Many freestylers use official match balls and deflate them to various levels. They also use freestyle specific balls that may be made with rubber, denim, or other grip textures as it helps with some types of tricks more.

      Using shoes is much easier, and more effective, but using barefoot is also good, but it is a little bit harder

      using shoes will help keep balance and change body position. They will also help when making firm contact with the ball. However, shoes are not necessary to improving at juggling

      juggling isn't critical to playing soccer. You don't NEED to be able to juggle. But improving at juggling directly improves basic ball control and you do NEED ball control to play soccer well. As long as you keep working at ways to improve ball control, you will improve your technical game
