I love this gun omg. It has never sat in my vault ever. I main it in D1 and have in D2 ever since it was added. I think I prefer D2 Ace though. I love the distinct sound they gave it. And the fact that it’s Cayde’s ❤️ Just hit 50k+ kills with it in D2. This gun is my guardians baby ngl lmao
I do wish D2 Ace could have kept the twirl animation that D1 Ace has when you switch weapons along with the reload animation it has now. If any gun deserved both it would be this one.

I didn't understand much of the Lore, but if Banshe made the ace of spades for cayde, then the one we have on d1 was just a replica they made for us? I remember the Banshe dialog said that cayde had asked to make for us.

The lore got changed, in the original it was Cayde having Banshee make the gun for us but they slightly tweaked it with Destiny 2 and made it where Cayde had it custom commissioned for himself

Crazy thing is, in D1 recoil mattered very little as the first two shots would kill most red bars and guardians in the crucible, D2 made recoil matter more given the updated weapons handling system.

Less about the gun and more WOW I didn't realize how own zoned the destiny 1 area's art direction got when ported into 2. You can barely make out all the cool skybox details on the moon especially.
