- Off Grid is BACK and we’ve found Australia's ultimate campsite!
We are doing the ultimate Nullarbor road trip from the spectacular Esperance beaches with crazy soft sand 4WD recoveries to gnarly corrugations in the dry outback!
Have you done, or plan on doing the great Nullarbor road trip? Tell us about your trip & your touring setup!
The beaches of Esperance mark the start of the great Australian bite which we’ll follow as we take on the Nullabor, a 1,200km journey! For our trip, we take an old backtrack from Esperance to Israelite Bay where we discover some incredible hidden Aussie history. Then we head off to Balladonia Road House, to the incredible Buna Cliffs at the top of the Bite, then heading even further off grid to explore hidden cave systems on the Old Eyre Highway, and finally back to the coast at Fowlers Bay!

I vote that Steph and Harley join the 4wd24-7 crew full time
Or even part time contributions
Agreed. Touring 4wd is just as amazing as the rock climbing
@@mysteriousways78 possibly better I reckon
The other boys love the tough tracks and climbs. MANY of us love the camping, deep off road. While a cute gal always spices things up, I do LOVE the idea of making Graham's off grid more regular, it's also something perfect for having frequent new guests. This couple is perfect though. They could and should easily turn this into their own channel.
No thanks - I tend to skip these episodes. Happy with more touring content, happy if they want to start a touring 24-7 channel. But the reason this content works is the dynamic between the current hosts and regular guests.
The off grid, spin off is a welcome change to the same old tracks every year! Love it!
I am absolutely loving the Off Grid series. It's fantastic to have Graham hosting as the lead once again. A hark back to the old 4wd action series. Keep them coming
I wholeheartedly agree, the current trend in the type of content 4WD 24-7 releases regularly is pretty predictable, they take their cars, break them on big rock steps, fix them, cook a bit and repeat. What Graham does here is epic. Great editing, great hosting, completely different from episode to episode.
@@BuksSaayman yer I don't mind the hard stuff but I like a destination at the end.
Thanks mate, Graham is truly living his dream!
Cheers mate 🍻 There's something for everyone 🙌
This IS what it's all about... loving it Graham!!! 😍
The off grid series is the perfect partner to the hardcore tracks 4wd247 does. Can't get enough. Love seeing the lil dmax back in action aswell!
@2:49 that's my farm, I was wondering what those vans were doing abandoned there haha
There's a new Balladonia track parallel to the old one you can see at @9:12 it's much easier to drive, I can sit on 70kph most of the way up
I'm glad you left out the homesteads, they need to remain hidden, they'll get vandalised too quick if everyone goes out there
Man what an awesome channel! I just found you guys and I've been binge-watching most of the videos!
Yeah the off the grid series is sick
Can’t wait to check this place out with the boys!
This is the best of this channel. Thanks heaps for changing it up….I’m loving it!
Loving these off grid videos. Please find a way to keep doing them. A Canadian who has driven Canada coast to coast. Fantastic watching episodes of WA. Nice change from Cape York and the eastern side of Oz. Harley and Steph are a great addition.
Hell yeah! Now I’m not sleeping!
Harley and Steph are a great addition to the off grid series. Graham your a bloody Legend.
really loving that it seems like 4WD 24-7 seems to be branching out .. Graham ( Steff & Harley as well ) doing the chilled out exploring .. Jock & Jessie doing the rock climbing technical stuff .. Shaun doing tough tracks .. all equally interesting , depending on what mood i'm in
oh and here in the UK .. if you drive something interesting / unusual it's standard to wave when you meet someone else driving something interesting / unusual ( bonus if it's the same make )
Nothing more Australian than the 2 finger salute as you pass a fellow countryman!
Absolutely enjoying so many of your adventures . Thank You Graham , Steph and Harley
Off Grid is the best part of 4wd24-7. Good to see you looking after Steph and Harley giving them the company D-Max to drive 👍🏼
What Jade G said
I just love the Off Grid series, amazing content and an epic team.
🥰
🙌🙌
My home town of Esperance ❤ the BEST beaches n 4wd tracks
These off grid drives with Graham and the crew always have great sceneries. Those burgers looked great too 😂.
As a younger bloke, in my 2A Landrover, I loved nothing more than technical tough tracks and mud... but now... 30+ years later, these episodes, in my opinion, are some of the best content on this channel! Love love love this series!
I would love to see an old Landie joiing the farm trucks on this channel. I had an old 2A as well.
Hopefully one day I can live these adventures.
Off grid is the 👌 best 🏞👍well done folk🍻
Used to live in Eucla. So this trip was right in my back yard. Incredibly underrated and must do experience for all.
Steph is definitely a great personality - always enthusiastic and keen to get her hands dirty.
Driven across the nullabour 10 times… only the last time when I was 17 did we go off the highway… I’m not sure if it was the old eyre highway but we found a cavern so big it took 5-10mins to walk across. Incredible. I loved this episode, it brought back a lot of good memories from that trip.
That has to be the best campsite in Australia 🇦🇺 and it’s good to see the old D-MAX back and the Y62 what an absolute beast now I want to go see that cliff top campsite 🏕 awesome job Graham 👍👍👍
Couldn't agree more mate!
Driving wave with 3 finger is my favourite way😍😍😍😍😍
Drove across from Adelaide to Perth with the parents in December 1970 in their brand new HG Kingswood wagon. Camped out along the old Eyre highway. Such an adventure for a 9 year old! That started my passion for going bush, which I still have today.
Thank you for the chat on the plane today Graham, my boy loved the pic I took. Cheers.
G'day guys. I love these types of video. I have only one leg and am wheelchair bound at present. That being said I am working on fixing My situation. Once l have explored my and leg options, I would love to go out and experience these places
you'll be out there in no time! keep up the great attitude, you got this!
Vegimite on the burger .. YESSSSSSSSS!!!!!! Bloody amazing .... As for the rest of the episode.. Another amazing episode ..Keep them coming.
This Off Grid Series is epic and so good too see some remote places.
Australia truly is a beautiful place.
Off Grid is the actual best thing since sliced bread!
I love it. My kind of youtube videos.
Love watching Graham and the new crew. I could watch Australian touring videos like these all the time. Keep them coming
On a side note. How about that camp-site!
Really enjoying Harley and Steph being part of the series, and was really impressed with Harley’s hearty stew……..and then I saw the socks being worn with sandals 😳😳. Harley Harley Harley.
Seriously, love you and Steph being part of it
Been out the Nullarbor many times longest being 6 weeks caving, its gods country, and thats the only way to describe it. Forget the black top and explore. Love the footage.
Loving Off Grid, GC is definitely the best host. Steph and Harley are an awesome addition, just your everyday people joining in. Keep it coming 4wd 24/7 ❤
*crossed the Bore 10 times by road in my lifetime, never stopped, might go off track next time 🤙🏼
March last year we hiked Mt ragged and had the absolute honour to meet Roger at Deralinya homestead and he gave us a fantastic tour of his home, history and the restoration of the buildings in the area. He is a true treasure of the outback.
I love you graham!
Have you guys thought of doing a nz tour
Thompsons Track needs to be conquered by these lads!
Graham, u just grow to an even bigger legend in my eye's mate. Caught a quick glimpse of the sheep dog in your fridge door on the cook segment . Awesome LOL had some great nights on that drop.
Love this series, best videos yet. Great inspiration to explore some places and camps I’ve never been to before.
Great to see the Israelite Telegraph station get some coverage. A true gem. A lot more to see out there though! Thanks for a great episode 👏🏽
Been watching your series now for a few months, the new off grid series is exactly what I'm planning on doing here in the U.S.A. About to buy my camper, and finally getting the gladiator build off the ground. Keep up the cool series and thanks for the inspiration.
That southern coast line looks AMAZING! Adding that to the top 10 list for sure.
Best ever, can’t wait for more “Off Grid” episodes.
Went over the Nullabor when I was abt 7 (so long time ago lol), once I get a 4wd, it's on my 1st big trip. You may have convinced me to take detour. Absolutely love it.
And yes, done the Nullarbor plenty of times, Bunda and Baxter cliffs are the most scenic places you can ever go. What you should do it the futiure is see Robyn Matthews at Maralinga and do a tour , absolutely unbelievable what we did to our country
Excellent again just love the Off Grid, nice to see Steph and Harley back .keep them coming.
Canadian here: love this series. The views, information bits along the way, I feel like I'm right there with them; it's perfection. Keep it up!🤙
Best part of a Thursday
This series is great! Educational and entertaining. Like modern day Malcom Douglas. Give us more of it!!!
Good to see the old Eyre highway, we moved to Perth in 74 from Adelaide, XW 6cyl Falcon, 21ft Millard caravan, Mum, Dad two brothers and sister, 1 month travel on that unsealed road doing 5 to 20mph all the way, blew 1 air shocker and lost all 4 hubcaps, the road was flooded due to aftermath of cyclone Tracy we were stuck in Ceduna for 4 weeks due to flooding, best time of my childhood.
The Off Grid series is our Aussie version of Expedition Overland and im absolutley loving it!
Inspiring stuff guys. Some of the best scenery I’ve seen on 4WD/27. Top shelf bucket list stuff.
Thank you Graham, Steph and Harley. Another great episode and now thinking about another way to cross the Nullabor next year. Luv ya work!
Always give the 🤙🏽 when driving keep it aloha
Fowlers Bay is great, that whole section of coast, including down around Ceduna and Point Peter is next level.
Awesome video as always Graham. Australia is one amazing place can't wait to see it for myself one day.
These off-grid videos are bloody fantastic ..... this is my style going off-road
@graham have you ever thought about making a travel book?
Places to see off-road in Australia 🇦🇺
Then a newbee or experienced driver could pick it up and plan a journey from it.
Great Episode Graham. Did that exact route with my parents 20 years ago when they were touring Australia Cape le grand, Balladonia, Cocklebiddy…. and so on to Ceduna. memorable road trip! ❤
Whoop whoop for Thursday nights
Love watching all your videos, keep up the great stuff!
I've crossed the Nullarbor 9 times and sadly have never done the old Eyre Hwy. However I commence the Big lap in June and I plan to do it this time around after seeing this.
I have stayed at/right near the same camp grounds on the bite at the heads as you all did.. truly spectacular. I WILL be staying there again when I go back through there.
Love the sound of your V8.
Great stuff team!
One finger salute from me (not the middle one!)
Misso and I drove our Corolla with swags on top along Nullarbor. Swung off a side ride a couple of kms for the night to camp. Just far enough to avoid hearing cars. Was so lovely.
Bloody great episode i loved it..I have done both old and new road 2 times back in the 70.s the old road wins hands down more fun more to see..thankyou for doing this it brings back a lot of great memories ❤ you guys are great please do heaps more
We did the Nullarbor in 2019 at about 30-40km/h. My little brother rode his push bike from Optus Stadium in Perth to Unley oval in Adelaide to raise money and awareness for mental health and me in a car and dad in a rental camper van we’re the support vehicles. We slept in swags the whole 3 weeks and my brother slept in the camper….it was an amazing trip and I saw every metre of that trip drive watching and getting off the roads for trucks, cars and everything else bigger and faster than us! Amazing part of the country!
Also loved that bit about loving the EP but I hope you venture over to the Yorke Peninsula also!!
I reckon offgrid could support its own channel….it’s that good!!
What an incredible trip you’re on Mr. Cahill! Just spectacular!
And that two finger wave you toss up to oncoming traffic….in the USA, that’s called the “Jeep Wave” 😂😂
Steph is awesome! What an amazing woman, not only is she Gorgeous but amazing at driving back country as well! Great job!! Loving this 4wd247 show great places seen thus far! Thank you. Stay safe and God bless
I couldn't agree more
Absolutely beautiful cliff side! You folks are truly blessed with natural beauty... Even if everything is trying to kill you.
Great to see Off Grid back.
Hi Graham , I have to say your video’s are a joy to watch .In the motorcycle adventure world Itchy Boots is the absolute best , you are the best I’ve watched in the 4wd adventure travels . I myself have been on bikes most of my life here in the US and the 17 years I lived in Austria, I just turned 67 and just picked up a 1981 Dodge Trans-Van . Basically a Dodge van with a fiberglass box in the rear . Wide enough so you can sleep across it’s width. It has a tunnel down the center so you can stand up . I have already picked up a manual shift bellhousing , sorry I just can not stand the auto tranny . And I all ready have a plan to convert it to 4X4 .I’m going with the devorced T-case route . It’s 360 V8 is already moved to the left 3” to clear all the 4X4 drivetrain . Well thanks mate again for the fantastic videos and safe travels for you and your friends . Oh check out Itchy Boots she is now in North Africa enjoy . Cheers
The burgers looked like a bloody good mess but oh so delishious hahhahaha! and....Bunda Cliffs look fkn too scary for me to even get close to them! lol
Always go with the two finger drivin wave. Very unastralian to not do it I reckon. Legendary show as always. Adding to my bucketlist as we speak.
Gotta love me fowler's bay
Been there with my big brother last 15 years, so epic.......
Love fowler's Bay.....😊
GUYS the click bait captions getting carried away! Never ever seen an Aussie speechless!
What a campsite!! Adding it to the list!! Thanks for sharing.
I’m loving the off grid trips. Thanks guys.
Excellent video! Thank you.
The "Not Nullaboring Burgers" and Harley's Stroganoff looked amazing! Long distance travelling doesn't have to mean dodgy servo sausage rolls or pies. One trip across from SA to WA we stopped at the cliffs and cooked steak with creamy bacon and mushroom sauce with fresh vegetables and mash, it was one of the best feeds I've ever eaten. The view while eating was amazing too.
Need more tags of the couple and people you go with !! They are always the best
Thanks Graham, loving these off grid episodes...
Love your Off Grid Series! So makes me want to take on the Nullarbor!
Sending my regards from Miami, FL. Love the show 🫡
Proud subscriber since 2019
2 finger unless I know who's coming then it's a flash n salute to the extended fam... SA proud ✌
Another fantastic Episode, goodonya folks. And I agree the good old castiron campoven is best. Can't wait for the next 🌲🌳🚙🚈
Lovely Ep Lady and gents, I did the NB in 1988 in a bus never got to stop, Love to camp on it one day. Always one finger for me
Fowlers Bay is a fisherman’s paradise. Scott’s Beach and Mexican’s Hat never disappoints
Loving the trip. Living the dream.
I must say I’m with you Graham, two fingers dose me.
Amazing stuff, will definitely have to complete myself. 👍
Just hit 'Like' at the start like always. Well I do. Always impressed with these and the 'work' you show. Always impressive and top quality. Cheers!!
The funny thing with people waving on the road is the further out from the major cities you get the less people wave. We did 4 weeks in a roof top tent from SEQ to Uluru and back. The more Central QLD we got, the less people waved and the less I bothered waving haha.
Usually alot of others in roof tops would wave but most caravaners didn't wave. I'm assuming 2 things. The caravaners are probably full time travellers so get sick of waving after a while. Or they're too concentrated and not worrying about if the on coming vehicle is gonna wave back as it could be hazardous. After a while of people not waving back i could feel myself focusing more on the on coming driver to see if they would wave back which takes your focus off the road in front of you. Which is why I stopped waving and just focused in where I was driving.
It's like my driving instructor said many years ago when I was learning. Don't look at the pretty girl on the side of the road, you'll run her over, look where you want to drive. 🤣
Great video, Graham always a 2 finger salute, to other drivers. Was hoping to get away for easter, with the family. But the turbo and head has decided to be abit emotional. So might go camp out the back of the farm. Keepem coming great series.
I’m loving off grid, please keep it up 👍👍👍
love "Off Grid", keep it coming.
Let's go legends!
This one's a beauty! Nice work fellas!
From the Pacific Northwest, USA. Beautiful series, exciting as well.
The two blokes faces when she said " oh that sauce is spicey!" 🤣🤣🤣
Loving the content of this channel all the way from South Africa 🇿🇦 💯🔥, hopefully I'll also get to live my dream, learn and do 4x4 activities
Another epic journey had by you guys! Loving the series!
I don't know about anyone else but I think it's good to see the camera car getting in to it and appearing in the occasional frame as well!?
Also ....... I think Steph and Harley should get full time gigs on the channel - even when this series is finished!
They have become quite the hosts and have become very comfortable in front of the camera!
(Must have had a good teacher! 😂)
Maybe get them doing the hard stuff with the rest of the gang or doing their own thing traveling around showing Australia's beaches, national parks and everything in between?
That's my opinion anyway 👍
I was super excited when I saw the Patrol parked up at the cliff with the rest of the rigs lol
Graham, I'm a Saffa, sadly not a rich one, so I've never been to your beautiful country. I must say, though. that one of my dream bucket list items is to do at least one of the adventures you guys at 4WD 24-7 have showcased, and I think this trip has just stolen my soul.
