Thank you for sharing! I am currently training a great Dane puppy to work as a mobility and pain management dog. The dog absolutely has to choose the person to make a successful team. Your story is great to hear and encouraging. Please keep making and posting videos of your journey together. ❤

You and Champ seem like an awesome team. I had heard of service dog programs where the dog is able to pick the human but hadn’t heard of ones where you can go through multiple dogs like that that must’ve been really difficult to have one match with you and then have to go back again but definitely seems like it worked out the best way in the end.
The fact that he chose you is heartwarming. He’s not just your service dog but also your best friend

Hi! You said you wanted to know what people were curious about. Would love to see a video about what tasks his trained for. Obviously not any medical alert stuff if you don't want to share that, but looking at the way you walk with him I'm guessing some mobility support, and also maybe item retreival doors etc? I feel like people still just think of service dogs as for blind ppl or emotional support, so great to see a wider range of things they can do ❤

Ty for sharing this. I've been thinking of getting a service dog but I'm waiting, and waiting, for someone to put a ramp up so I can take my dog for a walk first. I don't think it would be fair to have others do it. I'm wheelchair bound.

How long of a working life does Champ have? Will you be able to get another service dog when he retires?
You gave us a lot of details about the process. However, you didn't mention costs? Did you and your family have to pay them all, or was there financial assistance to pay for everything?
What kind of dog is champ?
I mean like what breed champ is :)
