    Is it bad to look down on people in the disabled community because they are lower than me? Like, some people are in wheel chairs, and if I’m having a conversation with them, wouldn’t it be weird not to look down at them??? Sorry if this is a dumb question, I have autism and I don’t want to be impolite.

    I always smile at the handler and keep walking and then later comment to my mother how pretty the doggo is (seriously you guys have some very handsome dogs) Even the head director of my gymnastics gym has a dog that follows her everywhere (I know she isn't a service dog because she never has a vest) but it still makes me uncomfortable to pet her without asking (especially since that dog is so anxious all the time sheesh always tail tucked and looking around, You never know how a well behaved dog can act when they are like that)😅

  • @hydewhyte4364

    I actively avoid any service dog and give them a wide berth. I'm one of those fortunate people that dogs automatically like. Dunno if it's scent, posture, energy ... something draws them. If I'm at your house and I get up to leave, there's a good chance your dog will get up and follow me out.

  • @Mia_theartist8PERSONAL

    I never pet a dog if they have a vest. I just say "aw look at the good pup" because I have so much respect for working dogs, they're such good boys/girls :)

    I've never thought about this before but it absolutely makes sense. I don't usually talk to strangers in public period - I think it can be pretty invasive tbh - and I know you shouldn't distract a working dog but this is a really good reminder about some of my social blind spots.

    My nephew was born that way and went through a leg lengthening procedure when he was about 7. When he turned 12 they did another procedure on his "good leg" where they removed some of the growth plates. Both legs are now the same length.

    You look very beautiful even with 3 feet!❤❤❤ I love when I see people with disabilities on my feed since I see it as I relate to them while not actually having a disability you can see! I have autism so I also feel really happy when I see other people talking about disability’s. I enjoy hearing peoples stories as well!

      Hello I have autism also. I have a physical disability too. I have a disease which makes my muscles die and makes lots of my body have problems. I use a wheelchair and a lot of other things like tubes into my body and ventilator. My autism makes talking hard for me and epilepsy damage my brain and talking on a ventilator is hard so I use AAC. Do you use AAC? I have no friends so I want autism friends because they understand how it feels. Thank you for reading this, bye

    • @Restless.gacha.idiotYT
      @Restless.gacha.idiotYT Před dnem

      @@unknownentity7964 I do struggle to talk to people but that’s just me I think cuz I’m extremely shy and quiet/introverted. But to answer your question no I don’t us an AAC but it does get difficult to understand what people say irl like at school I struggle a lot to make friends cuz if I’m asked to talk my body is like no talking they all will hate it and I clam up and shut down and cry. My autism mainly has think comes out when I am overwhelmed like I have a tantrum like a 2 year old (I’m 16 btw) so yeah but I would gladly be your friend 😁

    I tell my son that those dogs are WORKING and he isn't to go near them. Even if the handler says it's okay for him to pet their dog, I tell him no. I'm not being mean by saying no. If he were to learn he can pet service dogs, it could become a very dangerous situation in the future. I only let him around dogs that I know and aren't service dogs. My child is Autistic and has ADHD so he can be very rombotious, and that alone can make a dog nervous and cause them to strike. I respect service dogs and I want him to learn that respect.
