The 911 attacks were not even close to being the world's "darkest hour." All that unity was used to trick people into supporting the pointless invasion of 2 countries. You're correct that Creed was there.

It hurts in a better times sort of way. A time where people wanted to be united
What a time this was. I was running Scott's non-profit With Arms Wide Open Foundation. My youngest daughter, Jazzy, was Scott's son, Jagger's, best buddy. Scott invited us to Dallas for this. I had airplane anxiety after 9/11 and the thought of getting on a plane terrified me. We took a looong train ride from Tallahassee to Dallas. We were up in a skybox during this show. For some reason I can't remember, perhaps due to the long train ride and little sleep, Jazzy had a temper tantrum. Scott came over and wound up giving her a piggy back ride. Later, we all went down to the field and the kids ran around on the astroturf. Three months later, we were at the Winter Olympics in Salt Lake. Scott wanted to bring kids who lost loved ones in the 9/11 attack to the Olympics, to give them a positive experience. During the Creed show which was broadcast on NBC, he brought those kids up on stage and sang Children Don't Stop Dancing to them. My oldest daughter, Jade (who's still friends with those kids) and I were at the foot of the stage, bawling our eyes out. Scott did that because he absolutely cared about others. He has always had a tremendous heart. Little known fact: based on what Scott told me when he asked me to step into his Cadillac SUV when we were having an event in Orlando for kids with the Orlando Magic to listen to the demo tape: Scott wrote Children Don't Stop Dancing with the intention that it be a duet for him and a well-known female singer for whom he was seriously crushing-- Faith Hill. Instead, Scott's sister, Amy, joins him briefly towards the end of the song. What a magical, yet painful, time that was. Say what you want about Scott and Creed, but I witnessed the truth: his heart is real and the world is a better place because he, and Mark and Flip, are in it.
I agree that Scott is absolutely a caring individual. Thank you for writing this comment and sharing your story, it’s great you and your child had that experience. I just watched the “Don’t stop Dancing” performance that you were talking about before I saw this comment, absolutely shocked.
Thanks for sharing this really cool story
I believe it. When the flint, Michigan water atrocity happened, Scott showed up himself and brought a massive semi truck full of cases of fresh drinking water. He didn’t have a huge camera crew, a hundred people with him, etc…it was just Scott, the truck, and a few people to help unload it. Can absolutely tell he did it out of care and not out of trying to get spotlight from it. Great guy in my book and I wish only the best for Scott and his family. Michigan is grateful to Scott and his generous act of care
@@Deetroiterdamn did that happen
Actually, every bit of it happened, just as I wrote it. You're so rude, I can only conclude you have some sort of unrequited crush yourself, or maybe you're simply just a trolling jerk. Or both.@@erikandrews9480

I love watching old American series and movies from the 1980s to the 2000s. I see so much patriotism, love, and what it's like to be an American. Sadly, nowadays you don't see that anymore; it has disappeared. Americans, I am warning you, if you lose nationalism and pride in your own country, it will be your greatest downfall.
I am looking forward to your revival. You are the only country that sets an example of true freedom. You openly criticize your own leaders; that is true freedom. We can't do that here 😅. Love from India.
