- Merry Christmas, Inspirations!! Welcome to my 2018 Christmas House Tour with you today. This is also my first ever home tour so that makes it doubly special. Acie was very excited to have you visit our home too! And, Whitney makes his very first and brief appearance in a video.
I tried to give you a good feel of the flow of the house in addition to sharing all of my Christmas decorations.
I've already done a lot of Christmas videos so there are a few things that I didn't say much about. Check out my 2018 Christmas Playlist if you would like to see more details on some of these things.

Oh Kristi, it's all SO VERY, VERY LOVELY and done in such good taste! I love that it's not Christmas "in your face" decor. It's very sophisticated and YOU are so talented! The sleigh in your formal dinning room is beautiful and ties in perfectly with the rest of the decor. How beautiful!!! Very elegant and high end looking- you are a thrift store ninja! Love the garland on the stairs- adding the reindeer really elevated it and I also like how you added some greenery to all the silver. I think some mercury glass added to all the glittered pieces would look very pretty- maybe that's something to keep an eye out for on your thrift excursions. I loved it all, but I think my favorite piece is the kitchen bowl with the apothecary jar added to it. That is magical! You also have a lovely family- Merry Christmas to you all!

Love this, Kristi! Say hello to Whitney -glad he made an appearance. His idea of the tree outside was awesome. I love how you can still see it from the inside but it isn't taking up the room. And I am curious what your overall budget was for everything and if you were able to make your budget. Also, you need to have your mom on your video with a tutorial on how to make those bows!! Hey Amelia! I will tell him "hi" for you. He had to give me approval for his shot. LOL!
I had a large budget, $1500 - $2000, because I knew I had to buy everything. I was hoping to stay closer to the $1500, but it ended up closer to the top end. The greenery I added to the garlands was very expensive because I needed A LOT of it. This also includes things like the remote control plugs, my silver tray, etc. I tried to buy some things I would be able to use throughout the year.
I don't think we can do a tutorial because she was watching tutorials to be able to make the bows!! LOL! I was so thankful she did all of them for me. I need to learn how to make them. TFW!! Merry Christmas to you and your family!!

Your home looks lovely - so elegant, classic and understated. That is actually more along the lines of how I typically decorate but this year I went really whimsical and over the top. I will likely do something very different next year but we shall see 😊

She's 80 now and she's recently started painting again after many years. She's really enjoying it. I laughed at my husband about that! It was his first time being on camera. Wow your mom is in her 80s and painting how wonderful what a blessing .I hope you could show off some of her paintings I would love to see them. My mom used to be a sewer I wish I would’ve save some of the things that she made. She was Barbie obsessed she made a lot of Barbie clothes. Somehow they got lost in the last move that my dad and my mom made to a different home.
