    You don't need to let it sit. You can just boil it like you would normally cook rice but adding more water. Then drain the rice and drink the water. My mom has always made this and she learned it from her great great grandmothers

    Ah, the main reason most asian countries wash their rice is not because of dirt and bugs etc(although it is beneficial) but to rid of fungus since they are often deadly or even carcinogenic. Just wash the rice 2-4times throughly and drink the milk within a week or so. Even better, add acid or ferment it as kefir as lower ph inhibits these fungus.

      Also if someone is not vegan,but suffers from milk protein intolerance, gelatine capsule filled with lecithine also great option.
      It melts in the plant based milk and easy to use. Just one soak capsule and squeeze it into the mixture. In my experience 1 capsule is enough for 1 litre :)
      Powder wasn't working for me, it remains clumpy in the finished drink :( But powder s great for baking.

    I am told by a chiropractor that regular dairy products cause or contribute to fibromyalgia. He said he went to a conference on this, and they talked about it. That the milk proteins cause muscle problems. I love milk, cheese, etc. and eat/drink it all the time, but when I drink milk I feel a fatigue wash over me that renders me exhausted, and I have to go to sleep. Maybe it's the tryptophan in it, I don't know. At any rate, my muscle pain has gotten worse as I age. So a few days ago I stopped eating/drinking dairy. I am feeling quite a bit better, and I am looking for alternatives for milk for my coffee. I don't have the proper strainers, but made some "milk" from blended almonds. It was grainy, as I only had a regular strainer. I think I will use just regular cloth from something. Almonds are expensive, so am looking for options. I like cooked rice, and as one person suggested, just add more water. The problem I have found with rice milk and almond milk from the store is that you have to add SO much to get it light enough, and it ruins the taste of the coffee. I used Oat Nuts creamer, and really liked that as it didn't take much to lighten the coffee and it had a good flavor. But it's expensive. So I'll experiment and see what I come up with. Maybe after the milk is made, if it's too watery, it can be boiled down to make a thicker, creamier milk.

Umm, btw why wouldn't you try boiling the milk you got the time before or after you add the extra ingredients like soy milk(they boil the milk in medium or low heat for 10-15 minutes or until the milk boiling) or the time before you drink if you worry about bacteria? But okay, whatever thank you so much for the video~ 🙏🙇‍♀️😊

    • @jairo909
      @jairo909 Před rokem +3

      I think it's because there's more nutrients when it's raw, this is how you make horchata except with different sweeteners and there's no almonds. I always wondered why they don't just boil the rice because Jamaica is made by either boiling it or letting it soak raw in water overnight. You can taste the antioxidants are more present in the raw version. I used to drink protein shakes made with raw oatmeal and that would keep be full all day long vs if I just ate cooked oatmeal. Again the raw oatmeal must have retained more nutrients. That's just my opinion. I'm going to try to make this with boiled rice since that's how you make rice pudding. It should work but I doubt it will be as filling
