    I just tried this recipe with some old brown rice I had in the back of the cupboard, and it came out SO GOOD! Even better than the almond milk I usually buy!
    Thank you so much for sharing this recipe 😊

    Thank you so much! I was so worried about using ground rice flour to make milk because it isn't rinsed. I have a grinder but thought I would have to wash the rice, dry the rice and then blend it. So glad I found your video! I think it is best to keep the pulp in and this seems like the perfect recipe for me! A lot less work! Thank you!

    The amazing thing is that it doesn't need to be strained... hopefully, it won't be too thick. I have just toasted my rice and put them to boil. Very excited to see what it will be like

    I got it! I make my rice milk for fruit smoothies. I always figured it would be best to cook our rice first. I now see there are so many advantages over using hard raw rice! Thanks very much. I've used store bought rice milk at $1.00 a guart for many years. Now I'm getting busy making my own. This is so convenient and thrifty at ¼ the price ! And creamy too ! Thanks again..

      @@amandaorlando5303 ...and yes, I recycle. Fruit peeling go in the garden compost. I hope you make smoothies too. Rice milk and banana is the base of every smoothie I make. Then add 1/2 an avocado and any fruit that's on sale at your favorite store.. I even add raw potato slices and sweet potato or carrot and celery and figs and guava paste and walnuts. Just keep experimenting. It can never go wrong when you start with a banana. Or even just 1/2 a banana!! Its all very good.

    • @amandaorlando5303
      @amandaorlando5303  Před 2 lety +1

      Yes! It’s such a small amount of oil compared to the size of the batch, so it doesn’t contribute any real flavour. It’s just for texture.

    • @amandaorlando5303
      @amandaorlando5303  Před 2 lety +1

      I suppose you could. I would still recommend allowing it to cool fully before blending as it does impact the texture, and also just be sure to measure the amount of water after cooking to ensure that there is enough as some will evaporate.
