Good video. You explain it very well. Being a software engineer for over 20+ years I share a lot of these experiences. Let's keep sharing the knowledge on how to be better developers
"So many dev have a natural feel in the same way that are really talented auto mechanic kind of knows their way around specific engines almost instinctively. Developers really get to know their way around code almost instinctual ..." developers do not become this instantly. I wish i did 😅..These are for mid to senior developers . When you're new to developing apps/software/system, you need to do research and practice to become this. We kinda have this "instinctive" skills due to our knowledge and experience. Gotta start from somewhere to become this, applies to all professions perhaps 😉

Im very creative, comfortable with technology, and love workig independently BUT im not very competent with complex math, so systems engineer definitely doesnt seem like its for me, but im extremely interested in web/app development. Is that field ok for ppl that arent super into math, but everything else seems amazing?
Python can do everything rather than java In Artificial intelligence, Data science, Machine learning, Web development (flask ,django), and all other kind of development You think it is not mentioned in your series 🤙🏻
Have fun coding something like a Game/-Engine in Python. Python is great for those things mentioned by you (even though Web Development is still like entirely PHP & Javascript). But Python can simply not do any performance heavy stuff that is still only done in C++.
After watching the whole video i think that i got all the qualities to dig into this field but i am a student and i want to do it just for fun and for making some money online.I want to do this in my free time and days off so would you recommend to go into this field?
Hey Guys, I am thinking about a different path in life, to be exact becoming a software developer, BUT I want to ask you guys that do this stuff on daily basis, how important is math? And can you be a good developer if you didn't "love" math in school, or even thought sometimes "man this is hard" I would appreciate some feedback, Thanks for everybody taking the time out of their day.
Coding today versus before. Obsolete versus common . High paid salary vs corrected market salary . Some of these thing come to mind when going back to the basic of my academic years in software development and been a founder today .

@@sheriffcrandy In games and stuff, sure. Not so much when it comes to earning money. But after the 8 month I would change my statement in the way that I mainly dislike the fact that programming is becoming more and more a "lucrative business" instead of something some nerds get really passionate about. Of course it is natural with the ever growing demand in jobs, but I just find it sad that the "spirit" of programming is getting lost more and more.
@@Shikigami6 I don't think there should be any exclusivity to the profession. Programming is pretty challenging and if you have the mental fortitude to learn how to make cool programs and understand algorithms I say welcome aboard
@@sheriffcrandy Of course it is nothing that "should" be. But as someone who changed from business to programming, I can tell that in business the majority of people is not there due to "passion" or being even interested in finance and such but often just study business because of the money and because everyone told them at school, that they will get a job with it. And IMO, that makes the field "hollow" at some point.

can switch anytime, easy to land a job at decent company doing same old html css etc.. but really getting to the depths takes 10-11 years just like you must have reached in photography.. very few people reach those depths though.. most retire and never understand software design in depth.
Depends on what "not that good" means. But since coding is the tool for development, I'd say go and improve those skills. It's like trying to become an author without being able to write.
