thank you sir. for my windows 11 users: go to disk management, right click on the "wizard" (make sure you do this on the correctdrive), follow the steps, Also format in ex fat note: do this when you 1st install drive because doing this will erase everything on it
just depends on which brand SSD you bought. Some come pre-formatted and some don't so bottom line if you install it and it doesn't get recognized then you definitely have to format it.
Yeah otherwise you could use a SATA to USB cable and do it that way or you would have to physically install it into a desktop computer in order to format it.
