This is probably the best explanation about the strengths and weaknesses of these sensors. What is worth mentioning is where the technologies are developing to? Cameras are growing in resolution, but at the cost of sensitivity. Lidar is reducing in cost, but in many other aspects. Radars are growing in its elevation measurement capability and the number of dimensions that are measured.
