The play was an accident... Nothing else. Sorry the girl got hurt but it happens. Oklahoma's coach rushed to the floor and pushed a baylor player out the way to get to her player. Nikki Collen was upset that she pushed her player. Both coaches defending their players.

That was a bang bang play. It happens all the time. It was the fact that a player was injured. No defense was needed of the players, but both coaches were showing support.

To be honest, until I see a female coach sling a chair across the floor or slap a player,, something like this was a simple empassioned conversation between two professionals.
If I ever see a female coach throw a chair across the court, I will assume Bobby Knight had a sex change.
Commentators got it right, along with the refs. It's the coaches that kind of over reacted. But I will tell you something, girls can get just as mean and savage as the guys when fights break out. That is why the refs try to keep players and coaches separated when things could break loose
At first, I thought this was a charge, and the defender had her feet set. But she was not squared away, which is why this was a defensive foul. I hope the offensive players OK.
You can hear the Oklahoma coach tell the Baylor players to get away and while it appears she pushes her way through them, I dont think she made contact with the Baylor players.

She's just upset because her team was losing. The score was 87-69 with just over 2 minutes left in the game. That referee actually helped her from receiving a technical foul.

I don't understand the big controversy - aside from click bait. It was two very good athletics claiming the same space at the same time - blocking foul. No one questions the call. Things get said in the heat of the game...happens all the time!!
It's hard especially if you're an OU fan, I get that. But everyone should back off & let the two coaches come together, which I'm sure they will.

I couldn't care less...i mean really could not...about either of these teams or Big XII women's hoops in general, but there was nothing there but a big rotating late and trying to cover that. I guess you could question teying to draw charges with that level of contact late in a blowout. But as a basketball play, it was fine

That looked like knee on knee contact from driving in versus defending. That happens a lot. It looks like the contact tweaked or jarred something that was already hurt. I don't know when this happened, but I hope that she's okay.
This is what happens when you out value into trying to draw charges. It encourages these collisions.

The official should let the coach go while trying to diffuse, and let her attitude determine a technical..you can defend your players without acting like an AZZ, well deserving of a technical if needed.

My opinion, the Baylor gal in white, failed to plant her spot and draw the Offensive Foul. She was still moving when contact was made and the Number 24 never had a chance except bang up awkwardly.
But, that's part of the game folks, bad stuff can happen at times. It's unfortunate. But the Defender was trying to set up a position to draw an Offensive Foul. She fail, and should have been labelled with a Defensive Foul with Number 24 getting a couple of free throws.

As far as the coaches are concerned, what's the problem? I'm sure that the Baylor coach would have done the EXACT SAME THING if one of her players went down like that. It ain't like the Oklahoma coach shoved or drop-kicked Baylor players out of the way. I would understand her venom if THAT had happened.
I think 99% of people are missing the point here. The OU coach ran onto the court to check on her star player. Nothing more nothing less.

Whats scary about it she ran into another stationary player knee to knee & clearly came out on the losing side it's not like its dislocated or broken its not like it's Alex smith's spiral break where sections of the limb are literally bent in unnatural angles because of the multiple broken bones. Its just elementary science force meeting force one has more reaction positively or negatively & for this player negatively. I'm sure it doesn't feel good but shake it off. I've broken many bones & dislocated many others mostly playing hockey & football when football was cool. how does a player with no serious certainly no life threatening injury warrant an attempt at a standing Ovation?

Oklahoma coach in the wrong for running on to court. Should've been a technical for leaving the bench, you must be beckoned on the floor by a ref when injury. Pushing players out of way isn't a good look also, what if the player pushed her back ? thats what a skilled Athletic Trainer is for to go onto the court to assess players.. Coach was doing too much.
Coach was in the right. She didn't call out the refs for the play, she went out to check on her player. The play was stopped, she can enter as the trainer does.
