I love this song because the lyrics and beat are catchy and yet they’re very Camila. So easy and tempting to cater to bubblegum pop as she already has the following, but I like that she’s not trying to sound like any other pop girl rn.

Bam Bam has become my anthem in life. I love the message behind it: Life is beautiful even in its messiest moments, just keep on dancing and embrace it all. Camila Cabello is such an incredibly talented artist and really one-of-a-kind in that otherwise cookie-cutter music industry. As a person I admire her super positive attitude and great values. Musically I am most impressed by the way she has been integrating traditional Latin music into mainstream pop. There are many Latin artists that broke into the western market, and many western artists trying to do Latin sounds, but only Camila has been able to genuinely and seamlessly weave very classic old Latin music into a very modern pop genre and make a whole BOP out of it. Bam Bam is just a masterpiece in this regard, and Don't Go Yet is amazing too. Not to mention the mariachi band for La Buena Vida in her Tiny Desk concert (mind blowing performance!). Cannot wait to hear the entire Familia album, I am sure this will be her best body of work to date.
