This video was quite the challenge! Surprisingly I feel like it was harder than turning a $20 grocery store cake into a $500 wedding cake! That was easy in comparison! In today's video I took cheap grocery store bought cupcakes with vanilla icing and vanilla cake topped with confetti sprinkles and deconstructed them. With the addition of melted tempered white chocolate candy melts I made cakesicles and cake truffles. I also added some gold leaf and edible gold dust to create extra fancy easy simple designs! They turned out SO cute!

Thank you for your honesty. I also don’t understand why it seems to be “ trendy” these days to lie to people. Your candidness in this video was like a breath of fresh air. The struggle was real. But the finished product at the end was so much more rewarding because of it. Also, I agree, cakesicles are probably just not your thing. The chocolate hearts turned out amazing.

I think I’ve almost perfected cake pops, I would recommend leaving your cakesicles in the freezer until you have your chocolate ready for dipping, then dip right away and put back into freezer to set

If you adhere the popsicle sticks with chocolate/ganache and let it set, then you can dip and the popsicle stick will stay put. And your chocolate should be relatively thin. Yours is too thick. Better to dip 2-3 times than once in thick chocolate. Just end up with goopy mess. And let chocolate drip off over parchment paper. Then you can scrape off and reuse. 🥰
Further to my previous post. I wanted to mention how disappointed that I never got to meet you at Canada’s Baking and Sweets show. Would have been such a treat. I won tickets on your fb page. Unfortunately I could only attend Saturday. You were demonstrating Sunday. 🥰🥰
Hi! How do you thin out the chocolate?
@@azwins.a14 with shortening. Add a tablespoon while your chocolate is warm. Stir in well. If chocolate is still too thick, keep adding a teaspoon and stirring until you reach the right consistency.
Or you can just put the chocolate in first like the hearts. Makes them look better and the chocolate has a better shine.
I also believe a factor is the shape of the popsicle stick could be a factor. A lot of the videos I've seen use a hourglass shaped stick, which I would imagine helps prevent the stick from sliding out
