Just finished mine! Completely agree with the build process being as important if not more than the final build with these cars. They are so fun to build. I spread it out across multiple days to savor it.

The exhaust is the thing in the middle.
The 'exhaust' is actually the grey system pieces on the rear, and what you thought was the exhaust are the 'aero diffusers' on the bottom
And these aren't gullwing doors, they're butterfly doors. First time in Lego in Enzo Ferrari, now again.

I bought this set and am anxious about building it. Tight now I'm finishing the building of the Notre Dame.
The door shocks are excellent. Need more of that design. The spoiler mechanics are excellent. No mini actuators or rubber bands. What is the shifter for in the center console of the car? D/R/N gear changes? How many speeds? 7? 8? Do the speeds actually work, or do you go 1, 2, 4, 6, 5, 7, 3 out of order somehow?
Ideas
Swap Lego parts used for headlights and taillights for actual light parts similar to the Porsche 911, instead of using sticks and flex shafts to "shape" lights. I can already see why someone would want to swap those dark gray parts for chrome aftermarket parts to really make that engine area "show off" better. Get some chrome exhaust parts for the pipe in the back too. What's with the inline white clutch gear in the transmission underneath? What is that for? The shifter parts are going to fall off and get lost in the passenger seat area. Lose the motor and the tranny and put motors in there and some light kits and make it R/C.

I noticed the wheel hubs still have that wobble. Don't take this car up to 70MPH on the highway. LOL 37MPH with a Zene Bricks upgrade could be fun. :-)

I love the door and the rear with the engine cover, but the front… the front is not seems a McLaren P1

No doubt about that, sets like these have a tendency to get massively discounted. And very quickly in the UK. I got the Lamborghini Sián at half off only around five months after it released. The Ferrari Daytona SP3 got its price slashed by half as well a few times. So we can expect the same for this McLaren set.

Is the gear box backwards?
Highest gear = lowest revving motor. Duckbricks explained it the other way round.

Gonna have to disagree. It's chassis is essentially the same as the technic Sian. This is much more improved and subjectively I think it looks better than the Ferrari.
@@dieseldouche7735the manual has a side-by-side with the real car. The front looks nothing like it. Actually the windshield part is the problem. Download the instructions pdf and see for yourself
Oh gosh the audio >.< my ears... Please check your mic levels when manipulating the set. It sounds ok on mobile but on a proper sound system with a sub it's bad :/
