If you add up your average rating for the drivers each week you could have your own little world championship based on how they’ve driven
yes please
That's cool they definitely should do that
Yesssss
Shout.
Ahaha from now on Charles and max get 10/10 from their representatives 😂
Could you also update us every week on the total/average ratings for the drivers every week? That way we see their progress and overall ranking.
I agree 😊
That would be a great addition
Seconded !
Thirded
Do. It.
Logan would have gotten pole if that lap wasnt deleted. I can feel it in my bones.
You might want to get that checked out.
Wouldn’t have been pole lol but he would have made it through
I’m pretty sure Latifi would have gotten pole if he was still at Williams this season
For sure
Sarcasm- the use of irony to mock or convey contempt.
(To Woodduck- just thought you should know:)))
hope yuki keeps his form up. Everyone said he needs to step up this year and looks like hes already started.
yup, if they are able develop the car just a bit faster than the rest of the midfield he'll be a regular points scorer.
As someone very critical of him and figuring he'd not have a seat this year if silly season 2022 wasn't so silly, he's done well... so far.
@@tHebUm18 his ability and performance on track last year did not match his results on paper due to unreliability, I was never in doubt helmet could see that so I’m gald he kept his seat he deserved it imo and he proving everyone right…so far
Sargent and Piastri were pretty impressive in their respective tractors.
I felt bad for Valtteri, what were the team thinking boxing him for Softs so early?
Combine that with Alfa Romeo’s being the slowest car on the straights was a recipe for disaster for Zhou and Bottas.
Same for me, really disappointed for Valtteri. I hope that in Melbourne things will go better, the car will receive developments and it will work well perhaps as well as in Bahrain (it was in the rhythm of the Mercedes in the race).
Bottas got damage on the first lap from pastry’s front wing
his floor was damaged so he already was pretty much out of contention with his average race pace being 8 tenths off zhou, so unlucky for him. And confusing for zhou because they were on a 1 stop strategy but when the SC came out he pitted his fresh 6 ish lap hard tires to put on mediums for the rest of the race. That doesn't really make any sense to me. They actually would have gotten points if they didnt pit again under SC, since he was past Magnusson
Bottas got hit by the bits of Oscar's front wing after Norris was done with it.
That was in Bahrain. In Jeddah they were second fastest in speed trap
Yuki is doing everything he needs to do to show he deserves the seat going forward, he's getting everything out of the car and looks very good
Unfortunately I think like Lando he needs to leave his team to really show what he can do
@@thunderlighting2006 we know what Lando can do. I get your point, mind you. McLaren have failed him AND Oscar.
@@thunderlighting2006 Realistically speaking there's nowhere else for Yuki to go.
all he can do is do the best with the machinery he can, just like george/albon in their third year (in f1) at Williams. if he keeps this up he'll be fine.
How? Last year he barely scored got even with Mick on points and AT was faster than Haas last year. So far I don't get the hype around Yuki and why he still has a seat.
If Checo would have driven from 15 to 2 and took the fastest lap from Max, he would have got a 10 and Max starting from 1 ending 1 and matching Checo's pace in the end wouldn't get a 10. Aren't we rating Max to harsh because he always drives at such a high level?
maybe, but isn't that the point. You rate each drivers drive based on their previous performances i think max should have been a 10 because it was a good drive, but he seems to always be driving that well so doesn't that make it his standard and therefore not maybe worth a 10?
No
@Milton Alejandro Hernandez Lopez why not? Why is the same accomplishment worth more when Checo does it?
@@ruudkooijman819 Perez literally did the same thing in Silverston last year and Aramco put him in 7th, so please stop inventing because they always put Perez bad grades
@l̼̓ yeah, I am not trying to stay anonymous. What are you trying to say? I can't ask a critical question because I suppor Max?
Aston Martin must’ve sacrificed a small group of children to move up to be the 2nd best team, all I can say is GO FERNANDO and sweet holy Christ I never thought I’d say this but GO LANCE! Aston looking spicy this year!
Or just broke the budget cap along with Red Bull... Who are miles ahead too 🙄
Anyway, GO NANDO! 😂
@@paulalexander8874 dont exaggerate a non issue.
@@Gl-my8fw possibly. On the face of it though, the 2 teams reprimanded for breaking the cost cap rules are miles ahead at the start of the season.
We know why that is, but it doesn't mean it isn't suspicious to anyone looking in
@@paulalexander8874 Procedural only. Not anything budget related. Get your facts right mate
that first line sounds weird!!! and unnecessary
That Stroll's move round the outside of Sainz really makes me stands up
Its always like this for him, when he does phenomenal / possibly very good race... His bad luck strikes again (Like puncture in Baku, or Turkey, or Mugello)
And when he doing miss judgement... it went very horribly wrong that it become international meme lol
POV: Incoming stroll's hate comment
I don't agree with one thing: I think both Checo and Max deserve a 10. The reason Checo is getting praise this week by a lot of people is because he managed to match the pace of Max. I understand the "inevitability" of Max and how consistent and fast he is, but still matching your teammate should not be a reason to get a 10 (for Checo), nor should be a reason to not get a 10 (Max). Checo drove a brilliant race, he did everything right, he was the fastest man out there and that is why he deserves a 10. Max did everything right as well. He drove a brilliant race from 15th, and he also was the fastest man out there which is why he deserves a 10. Since both cars are equal, if both drivers are extracting the most out of their packages, who starts ahead will finish ahead. It's as simple as that. Praising someone based on their ability to match their teammate is an insult to Checo and unfair to Max.
thank you, you might be the most positive comment regarding perez/verstappen in this comment section
He did everything right other than the start so I think give him a 9.
They told max to stay at 33 flat bc of his driveshaft issues. The one lap he let loose, he was much quicker than anyone else.
Checo should have been faster in qualifying.
Max' whining is pathetic.
Couldn't agree more. Had it been Perez flying all weekend, been demoted to P15th on the grid because of a mechanical issue (while Max unfairly inherits it), and then caught up with his team mate in the race, he would have received a 1,000 out of 10. Max driving Perez's race would have gotten him a 7 out of 10. The "Perez" factor when It comes to these ratings is a bit bizarre...
Yuki actually did really well imo, the battle with K-Mag was great to watch, great defending but clean at the same time from Yuki like you said
Not sure if you’re doing this but maybe add like a standings at the end adding all the points together just another way at looking at your ratings and another leaderboard we love to see! Keep up great work guys!
Verstappen gets a 10/10 because he knew that his car was having issues and pushing too hard may cause a DNF instead of second place with fastest lap. Alonso also gets a 10/10 because he showed his maturity by not needlessly challenging Verstappen when he knew that the pass was inevitable.
I don't think I could give Alonso a 10 after mixing the box at the start.
It didn't end up affecting position in the end. But it was a mistake, in other conditions that can cost points.
I for one am pretty happy Yuki is beating Nyck. Hope the trend continues.
Love seeing that you guys alternate who is starting, makes everything feel more smooth!
I love the alternating score reveals! It could feel a little bit like the Matt podcast with a side of Tommy before, so I think this is a better way to do it :)
They're both P1 founders
So de Vries made a great overtake on Sargeant and finishes 2 places before him, yet is rated a point lower?
Also Nyck never had a race on this circuit and had engine troubles which gave him less track time.
Yep, that one made no sense. They were overly generous with Sargeant.
@@soundscape26 💯
@@pidfenderlane9012 so? Other drivers also never races in this circuit but with different machinery from f1, it doesn’t matter. Such petty excuses for him
@@AZBCDEE, First of all, those are my words. Secondly, if you don't think that without training, setup time, on a new circuit, with a new car, just before qualifying, isn't relevant in the F1, your probably new to the sport.
That Bottas rating was a bit harsh considering he got damage at the start of the race. It's like post Bahrain when you gave Zhou a bad rating for pitting to take a fastest lap point off Gasly.
Just my opinion... Thanks for the great podcast btw! Loving it!
Great video! I think it's also a good idea you guys swap who answers first. Because absolutely the person going first influences the others answers in one way or another. GOOD STUFF GIVE TOMMY HIS TURN! #TOMMY'STURN
So glad you’re guys are back! Love your videos and Podcasts.
Can you please put time marks in your Video? Keep the good work up!
Greetings from Austria
It would be cool if you guys rated the FIA each race too, I’d love to see their average at the end of the season
And also the tv directior
FIA in Abu Dhabi: 12/10, best finale ever
I would switch between Perez and Verstappen because Verstappen was actually catching up to Perez until he started hearing a weird noise in his car which made both of them slow down their pace to avoid the risk of their car breaking, so I think the only reason Max didn't catch up Perez was because he had to save the car. I would also give Max 10 points and Perez 9 for Max going after that extra fast lap point at the end and Perez not. Also considering Max's extreme competitiveness, having the maturity to give up the win in order to save the car does also count the extra point to me.
why not both a 10 though?
verstappen would not have catched perez, he was only catching by 1 tenth a lap, and checo was 4.3 secs clear when there were like 15 laps left, also that fastest lap really wasn't that fast when you consider the cicumstances, its just that perez got a very bad lap in the end (made a mistake in the first sector and gave up on it), verstappen was only 3 tenths up on a lap set 7 laps before, which is about the right disperce on the same car
@@axepig2066 ''its just that perez got a very bad lap in the end (made a mistake in the first sector and gave up on it)'' That's such a bad argument. It's just because he made a mistake, no shit it's all about that. Verstappen capitalized on that mistake. Besides that I think both Pérez and Verstappen had a clean, very well executed race.
@@axepig2066 Perez didn't have the best start and Alonso passed him on the first lap. The RB was just too quick for it too matter. Max probably wins with his pace if he didnt start 15th and had more work to do. So I feel like it is just winners bias that Perez got a 10.
@@leesin9526 that wasn't the argument though was it, read the rest of the comment
I liked that you did the alternating thing that people asked for👍
Can’t imagine working your whole life to get to the pinnacle of motorsport then people wanna start calling you Logie Bear 😭
Lewis fights his way back through the field in the best car "OMFG WHAT A HERO THIS SHOWS WHY HE IS THE GREATEST DRIVER IN HISTORY OF HISTORY"
Max fights back through the field: "Meh. Hes in the best car this is what's expected."
It’s what I like to call “British bias”
So true
I think the difference is max didn't overtake/outperform his tm8. Where Lewis did.. Great drive by max either way though, wish his attitude was more likable 😅
Nobody pushed Max outside the track ! That's the missing part
Those opinions will quickly switch depending on which driver you support.
So happy to have found you guys after the departure from WTF1!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you! I didn’t follow anywhere else except CZcams, but glad you came up in my feed…Finally!
Keep up the awesome work guys! I think there will still be some exciting races this season. Go Fernando!
You give yuki a 7 when he’s driving a tractor and almost gets points again? But give ocon an 8 for finishing in a position he should be in???
Only thing I'd add to Nyck is that he did a worldly overtake on Logan Sargant (at least I think that was him) at one point in the race
Yeah, that was him.
He had less track time due to engine problems. Also never has had a race on this circuit.
Doing one overtake on a Williams on newer tyres is nothing special. Nyck will get fired fortunately
great video! love your race reviews. it would be great if you could rank your rating from top to bottom so its easier to see who did best/better race by race
Good job guys! Enjoying the new show.
Do miss race rundown. Not sure Matt can handle that with Leclerc's luck lately.
Max a 10, his car let him down, he did everything right. Led all practice sessions and was fastest before his car broke down. Also got the fastest lap during the race! Yes from a Dutch person living in Brazil, maybe a little biased.
Im not a Max fan or dutch and I agree. Perez maybe a 9 not a 10.
so glad this move has paid off for the boys, loving the new channel and content!
Gentlemen, thank you for another solid ep in the bag. Rankings done with reasonable rationale, excellent pacing, and listenable audio (might be a tad bit over-compressed if I'm being picky). Please consider ever so slightly vertically-shrinking your 20-driver ranking page graphics, such that all the drivers listed are better visible on mobile (I lose the header and bottom two drivers on my A53).
I relish your team rankings video next...some fascinating trends and circuit anomalies to pore over. Good werk boys!
Great idea for a series, love it! Be careful to keep a consistency in giving out ratings regarding a lesser performance of a driver due to car issues (non setup related) though! For some cases you guys keep car issues that need to be managed in mind more than others. Maybe add half points too to make a better separation? Keep up the good work!
Charles leclerc❤ I hope for a better season with less pain the last year
Pigs will fly before that happens!
Alonso will help remove some podiums hopefully
Driver ratings over the corse of the season at the end would be a cool addition as well
Thanks for switching back and forth. I didn't voice that opinion previously, but it did seem like Tommy just followed suit, or adjusted answers before. Much better now :) TY
I feel like it was a bit harsh on Nyck, since he couldn't drive in FP3 and only his 2nd outing. His racepace was 3 tenths faster than yuki when he was outside traffic, was just held back too much being unable to overtake with less straightlinespeed than the Williams
I love how you added the order at the end!!
Hey @mattp1tommy I love the content and your input on the f1 season. An interesting question that i think about. I know we are only 2 races in and can't make conclusive assumptions but do you think that Red Bull might be more dominant this season than mercedes was in any of their season when they were dominating. Once again love the content keep it up!
I am fairly new to this channel. You have found a very enjoyable format.
I know it's a wierd IP issue/blurred line
But this needs to be part of the podcast imo. It's really missing without it.
we’d love a little stat showing where they started and where they finished 🙌 quite similar to how Spencer FC does with his Premier League prediction reactions.
FANTASTIC content Matt & Tommy!! I know it isn’t easy making new content but I’m loving what you guys are producing - fun, informative and hilarious! Thank you for keeping us informed and entertained! PS - Tom’s dog is really cute! Cheering for you both from Canada!
Love the graphic at the end how it's in order from P1 to P2. I suggest instead of one column and then another. Make it look like a gridbox "left and right" for P1, P2. Then next row is P3, P4. give it that F1 race feel
Driver of the weekend has to be Max. He was way ahead of checo before Sat evening when things went beyond his control
I really like these videos way more than WTF1. The laid back feel of just two hard-core fans giving their opinions on the race, pretty nice. Keep it up!
The content is flowing.
Quantity and quality.
💜
Thx for showing the scores afterward, I appreciate you two listening to feedback
I love your videos 😊🍀! If you allow me to suggest tho, you should try to rate them in championship order, I feel that way it would be more exciting ☺️ good luck with your project guys!!
Russell gets a 9 and had no pace and Max gets a nine with pace but didn't win. PFT!
I like this segment! Keep the point scoring table and add them up for a nice statistical graph on your website to show performances rating over the season.
Lando seems to be in the same place where Ricciardo was last year. It's almost a curse on the number one seat at McL.
Thought about introducing the decimals? I think it would make ratings much more distinctive
I feel the ratings are a bit weird, the ratings are based on what you expect of the driver? Would make more sense to me if you would base it on the car. Imo either give Perez and Verstappen like a 7 and a 8 as it was a clean drive but expected outcome with such an insane car or give Verstappen a 10 and Perez a 9 cause Verstappen did do the better job out of the 2 with the same material.
Perez not winning that race would have been absurd no? His only competition is a teammate that starts p15
So Verstappen goes from 15th to 2nd, has a problem with his driveshaft, and easily gets fastest lap at the end, and gets a 9. Checo started 1st, got overtaken by Alonso, and was not holding the same pace as Max, and gets a 10... No hate to Checo, but I dont get the hype. He wins on street ciruits, only if Max has a problem. If Max started 2nd he wold have finished so far ahead of Checo looking at how much time he made up. I would switch the ratings!
he made up the time bc of a sc, actually perez was quicker for most of the race, but that was obviously bc max was overtaking, so no, i think it would prob be a 1-2 sec gap between verstappen leading and perez in second
Giving Max a 9 is a bit harsh.
He went from 15 to 2, had issues with the car during the last ten laps and just recovered from being sick.
He was also massively screwed by the unnecessary safety car. He could have easily extended his stint on the mediums and gone to softs for last 15-20 laps, but everyone pitting under the SC forced him to come in as well.
Scratch the second half of your comment. He benefited from the safety car
@@syndicategaming1668 I know the safety car bunched up the field, but Max didn't need that. When the safetycar got called, he was already 4th, less than 8 seconds away from Russell, and lapping 0.7 to 1.1 seconds per lap faster than him on the same tires.
He was about 15 seconds away from Alonso in 2nd, and was also lapping 0.8s faster than him. Again on the same tires.
There were 33 laps to go.
He would have had no trouble finishing second without the safetycar, and would have had a ton more options regarding strategy.
@@einstijn138 and Checo was 20 seconds ahead of Max up until the safety car
@p1 are you going to do a cumulative score rating over the season, will be interesting to see how your ratings correlate to the actual standings? cant remember if you did that last season :D

I like this idea a lot too!
We'll be doing a mid-season review and end of season review :)

Well at least we can say it’s a fun start to the season. Drama. Very competitive midfield. Love to see it. Hope there’s more to come
Lol what?
He didn't "hold off" Verstappen. Max had an issue during the race too when he got to P2 so he didn't try and catch Perez. Did you guys not watch?
It looks very likely that the order of the Universe has not been disturbed by an uncharacteristically brilliant strategy call by Ferrari, as Stroll's energy recovery problems started around the time he pitted, which means he would likely not have been overcut by Sainz and definitely not by Leclerc.
How can you give sainz 6and 7 when he was so slow 5 second behind Hamilton and holding leclerc up
I think verstappen backed off at the end against perez. if you actually listen to his team radio you could here a high pitch whine in the background which was not there for perez. IDK if it was real problem or just a minor pitch change which didn't affect the performance, but his fastest lap at the end and the fact that when he passed alonso he was ~6s behind perez and he pulled it in to ~5 in 3 or 4 laps but then just held there, makes me believe that he backed off. perez didn't get much faster, verstappen just got slower. I think he didn't want to risk blowing up his car and he just decided to take a risk last lap to get the fastest lap point, but 32.0-32.1 was his real pace.
Exactly this but somehow every single person fails to mention this, completely ignoring the board radio where max specifically said he has a driveshaft issue again while there is an extremely loud high pitch whine in the background which was instantly followed by reduced lap times and subsequent board radios with that same high pitch whine and confirmation of said issues. Yes, I am a Max fan, so yes, it annoys me extra much when people gobble Perez' knob in situations like this. But nonetheless what annoys me even more is how channels like this fail to be objective.
Could you PLEASE upload full versions of the podcast somewhere on CZcams ? It's really annoying having to install Spotify just to listen to P1
You should also do team ratings based on how the teams handled their drivers or screwed them on strategy or car issues etc.
The thing about Logan, after 2 races he already proved he deserved the seat more than Latifi, Latifi would have crashed and think after a few races we won't be far off Albon
quite interesting.. thanks for the vid
would be fun if you added the totals together from each driver and crowned the best driver based on that.
I’m a huge Lewis fan and I can say I’m glad we have a driver who’s not confident in the car but can find the pace the other can’t. Eventually securing even more points. Well done george.
Hi great Videos!
My rating for Max and Checo would swap. Checo had a horrible start that if Max was up there with him would have cost him any chance of even competing with him. And whilst he did hold his nerve at the end his teamate had downshift issues and more tire deg from having to overtake Russell and Alonso after the safety car. If it was reversed, how much of distance would Verstappen have gained on Perez? Great race from Checo but definitely wasn't perfect. Not the best drive from Verstappen either but he was still better imo. Also he is a boss on Street circuits but it's always been Verstappens own bad luck that actually puts him there.
Only Max wasn’t there! So stop your alternative universe way of thinking.
@@KingOf_America1776 It's thanks purely to front-runners having issues that Checo has 4 wins at RB instead of 0 lol, the narrative that he's some street circuit king is pure invention
@@KingOf_America1776stop being ignorant in your universe
Max is unquestionably the better driver, but the one time Checo proves he can hold him off then the laundry list of excuses for Max is quickly pulled out. I think for once he actually deserves the better grade, arguments from "what if" situations don't do anything for me because we can only discuss what _actually_ happened.
@@Zoradeity Ok not what ifs, I saw Alonso pass Perez first lap, but the RB is too quick for it too matter. Still a mistake though.
Clean racing so far this year. Love to see it.
Checo has the same rocketship and Max had to surpass 13 drivers and only managed to stay 5 sec ahead of Max. The similar pace should be mandated from him with the hard tyre degradation. Just shows how high our standards are for Max, while we celebrate Checo for holding P1 the whole race unchallenged with the same 🚀 .
Great ratings but I must say I do think the Perez and Max’s ratings should be the same not just because it’s Max and he always deserves top rating but because Perez staying ahead in equal equipment isn’t impressive, it’s expected. It shouldn’t be surprising that in the same car as Max starting with a lead he should stay in the lead. Can’t wait to see the Australia ratings, you guys are doing great with the P1 channel!
Thank you for splitting up the review and ratings to 2 seperate podcasts. 👍.
"George Russell - it was only one race"
And most of last season too. He should be Mercedes Number 1 by now.
Totally agree. Hamilton is old news. Time for Russell to officially be the nr1 driver over there
@@ralf7823 Teams don't designate "official number ones", much less after 2 races. And lest we forget Lewis is ahead of George in the stands.
It wasn't really most of last season though? He was mostly catching in the last 10 races

this was excellent!
Giving Verstappen only a 9 is crazy. He started P15. In any year of F1 that merits a 10. So basically you are saying that you would only have given him a 10 if he broke another record in that race.
Not to hate Sergio, (he did drive phenomenally), But what I think is majorly he wins when Max has problems with his car or when Ferrari f*cks up (Monaco)
Perez didn't have the match for Verstappen. Verstappen's car had to be nursed, because it was possibly breaking down again. That's why Max was so angry at the team. 9/10 is a joke.
A yoke
verstappen only noticed that after about what 23 laps after the sc , and what had he gained when both had proper laps? and i know he gained about 7 tenths but take into account that perez went slow for a lap because of team orders and verstappen didn't, so that was 4 tenths less, max gained a total of 3 tenths in a stint of 23 laps, i think perez might've had the match for verstappen on this one, really annoying to see how people just hate to see drivers like perez succeed
losing time due to the car is speculation. I think Perez deserved lower for his start where he got passed.
You should rate the fia
AlphaTauri is terrible but Yuki is driving well! Feels like the car is either 9th or 10th best and 2 11ths when De Vries is no where is impressive
you need to end with cumulative scores every week. I'd love to follow this along with the championship and see the interesting trends of who ends up where performance vs championship. that delta would be quite telling
Hamilton was another driver who lost out a bit from the safety car. He had to pit under it for obvious reasons, but he was meant to go long on the hards. The safety car meant putting on the mediums early, so he had to nurse them to the end longer than planned.
Its okey bro 😂. We get it. Denial is a blissful place if you don’t know you’re in it.

Checo and street circuits... I mean, at Monaco, Singapore and now Jeddah, Max hit trouble in qualifying. In Baku 2021 Max's tyre exploded when he was on course for an easy win. I don't think Checo is that special at street circuits as much as I think that's just a coincidence.
In Monaco he was faster all the weekend and he was infront of Charles before the bad Ferrari strategy, in Bakú GP told Max multiple times to go slower because the tires and he didnt obey (actually Checo had more podiums in Bakú with FI), in Singapore Max didnt do a good lap even when he was the one who made more qualy laps in q3, and in his last lap wasnt even sure if he would got the pole because he did a mistake in last sector and Leclerc was almost a second faster than enyone in that sector, and in Jeddah Max was p2 in lap 25 thanks for the SC that wasnt even neccessary, he had 25 laps to catch Perez and he didnt do it
You don't think? Go watch their whole career at Force India/RP, then you will understand. He also won Monaco in GP2. The fact that you started watching F1 a month ago is no excuse in the age of information my boyo (also, you're boring trying to bash Perez in every single video about him). Go hate your cat or something.
@@miltonalejandrohernandezlo4204 In Monaco qualif ended sooner because Checo put his car on the wall, which prevented Max from most likely start ahead of him... even though I'm not a proponent of the idea that he crashed on purpose.
I'm not debating the idea that Checo didn't have merit on those wins, he was at the right place at the right time, I'm disputing the idea that it's based on the fact that they are street circuits. When Max doesn't hit any sort of trouble Checo has a much harder time.
@@anameyoucantremember A month ago? I've been watching for more than 30 years mate. I don't bash Checo but truth is he's only able to win races whenever Max hits some kind of problem. This is factual.
@@soundscape26 dude, in Monaco Checo was fatser than Max in ALL the sesions not just in qualy and you forgot that Alonso also hit the wall in the last try in Mónaco, in Bakú GP also got a DNF because he didnt obey GP, yes Max is usually faster than Perez but being faster isnt enough specially in street circuits, look at Max at Singapore he did 2 mistakes by himself. Its like say that MAx won his first title just because the SC and Perez deffence and not because he is the best qurrently
I think they need to adjust the points system to reward more finishing positions to make there be more constructors pounts fighting
If Max didn't have the possible issues starting round 25 with the driveshaft he would have overtaken Checo easily, he just cruised to the end on second place to prevent a possible dnf
Not going to say you guys are biased for Checo exactly, but that scoring at the end was wildly inconsistent. Let's summarise: Checo gets 10/10 for extracting the maximum from the car, and matching Max' pace from P1 where he didn't face any adversity and largely didn't need to make tough decisions for overtaking etc. Max gets docked a point for....... extracting the maximum from the same car but not managing to somehow shave an extra 0.2 per lap from the leader after jumping 14 places? They had the same speed in the same car. One started P15, the other P1.... idk, they either have to have similar scoring or reverse the scores at the very least.
I begin to suspect Alpha has hired the Failrrari strategist
@18:15 you mean after max overpushed his tires to get through the field on higher fuel load to make it? at the end points wise theres harly any reason to take risk so clean air grab the fastest lap and end the day with a solid position
max goes for the win, always. But if thats not an option, maximum points possible.
I love this type of video.
Should compile all the driver ratings together to make a chart on driver performance throughout the season.
A race like that really makes it hard to rate the drivers and not just rate the cars
I really like the points system, but I would do it in the race review. You have more of a discussion there where you can convince each other of your opinion.
Also you have more context after you discussed in in 1 go
