- Many people message our Facebook page asking how to get started homesteading quickly and cheaply. We address that question here by explaining how to get cheap land, often, with little or no money.
Finding really good friends that have the same vision, work ethic, is hard to find. Everybody's all in and when you get there, their priorities are all wrong. They don't know what grow best, when to plant or even have the money for all that it entails.
Do it yourself, at first. You can lease a piece of land in the beginning with an old trailer to live in. Know exactly what you want. Blessings to you.

I'm going through your older videos, the very first one I watched when I came across your channel is the one where your all picking blackberries, and your told how your son wanted you to buy the land because it came with free food! Since watching your videos I'm wanting even more to get out of NYC and become a homesteader, it would be rough though doing it alone. :(

The question is, what do you do for income if you move into the country? I am in the country (sort of) but I work from home and that is coming to and end. I'm trying to figure out how to move farther out into the country, but what will I do for work? .. that's still the problem.

My cousin done this in Mississippi, had to pay the back taxes on it, and pay taxes for 3 consecutive years for it to be hers. But if someone else paid it in that 3 years it would be theirs and they would have to pay for 3 years on so on.

In many counties, it's now online. Simply visit a counties' official website & do some looking around in regards to tax records.
how can I find property cheap in lower texas or arizona . I am on disability with an income of 1000.00 per month . Just need a small piece of land to sit a travel trailer on
One way is to look at Craig's List for lots in those areas, then contact the county building code to find out if they allow a trailer to be set up at a specific location. Some counties require a full acre for placement of a manufactured home, or they have requirements for size and year of manufacture, others might not allow one at all.

I think some states like GA allow 12months after purchase at auction for the owners to make arrears for past due taxes / liens on the property.
Make sure there are no other Lein's on the title!
In most states, yes. If the owner makes payment of the taxes in the grace period after you made payment, the state then refunds your payment, plus any interest due on those taxes. So, even if you don't get the land, you would gain a little money for your time. It's a small way of making your money work for you.
What about Sewer...Water and Electricity???
You have to do some research on this most of the time you have to have a septic tank and well . Some places have city water or you may have a spring on the property electric is available in most places . But you will have to check all this out
