‘I’m Above The Law: Privileged Teen Gets Drunk Drives Wrong-Way On the Highway

- On January 21st, 2024, officers in Washington responded to a late-night report of a collision involving a vehicle traveling in the wrong direction. Witnesses reported seeing a dark sedan driving northbound in the southbound lanes, eventually hitting a concrete median and causing sparks due to severe damage. Officers conducted a search in the area and located the vehicle, visibly damaged, parked in a lot with the suspect still inside. The initial investigation pointed to a potential case of driving under the influence (DUI) and hit and run.
Upon engaging with the suspect, identified only as a young individual, officers noted several signs of intoxication, including the smell of alcohol, slurred speech, and watery eyes. The suspect displayed a combative demeanor, refusing to cooperate with the officers' instructions and verbally abusing them. The situation escalated when the suspect resisted arrest, making the officers' task to secure and detain the individual significantly challenging. Evidence collected at the scene, including multiple containers of alcohol within the vehicle and visible damage consistent with witness reports, further substantiated the officers' suspicions of DUI.
The suspect was ultimately arrested and transported to jail, continuing to exhibit belligerent behavior throughout the process. Despite numerous vulgar outbursts and threats towards the officers, the law enforcement personnel remained professional, ensuring the individual's safety during transport. The suspect was charged with DUI, Hit and Run Unattended, and Minor in Possession of Alcohol.

It is against the law in the US to harass someone. Freedom of speech does not allow you to harass someone.
