I am sorry but I don’t understand what you are saying.
Heyy Delisa. Thank you so much this is so helpful, it's so informative. My question is:
While applying, does it really matter which city/region you choose to work in? As in , do you really need to specify?
I am honored if it helped you. You can choose the city and specify your preference but, at the end of the day I think it goes down to which schools need a teacher.
Hello can I apply for an English teacher position with a TEFL certificate? And what's the difference between an English Teacher and Assistant English teacher in terms of workload?
You need to have a qualification, either a degree or diploma for either one of the positions. An English Teacher leads the class on her own with the help of a co-teacher, whereas an Assistant Teacher helps the local teacher. I believe the workload isn’t the same because the pay isn’t as well.
Hello Delisa, thank you so much for the video! It's been very informative. I have a non-educational degree and a TEFL certificate. I've tutored both online and offline before and also worked with an NGO with teaching children though it wasnt quite in an official capacity, as in, I wasn't hired as a teacher. Do you think I can qualify for English Teaching or do I have to apply for the teaching assistant position?
I think you can apply for the teaching assistant position. Once you are in the system, you can write the required tests and qualify for the teacher position after a year or two I think.
Thank you Delisa i needed this yati, do i qualify mine wase CIT with PTD?
It seems as if Taiwan hasn’t yet recognized CIT yet because they have a list of tertiary institutions they consider
Hi dear, I just came across your channel and got excited by the information you have shared. My younger sister from SD and she has studied a national diploma from one of the recognised University in South Africa however it is not in Education. She also has an advanced diploma from a private college (Not in Education). Do you think she might stand a chance to become a Foreign English Teaching Assistant if she pursue a TEFL certificate then apply for the TFETP? Thank You.
I am not really sure if she can since all qualifications are not in Education unless she has some experience in teaching. However, I would say she should try her luck and apply. Also, she should apply in the private/cram schools. They hire people with different qualifications.
@@delisasimelane2901 Thank you, I will have a look at them.
Hello🙂
I have a Diploma in Tourism Management and my PGCE majoring in English including my TEFL certificate with 7years teaching experience. Will this suffice for the program?
I believe it will. Go on and try your luck😊
which subjects are taught by native teachers that side? or what subject are you teaching?
The subjects you teach can vary. Some teach music and others teach PE. It depends on the school you are placed in. I teach English, focusing on all the four language skills.
So if you a Primary Teachers Diploma from SANU, you can apply?
Yes, you can.
Hi There, do you know if they accept a degree from the University of South Africa
Hey! From what I have heard, they do not accept them. Some other countries do though.
@@delisasimelane2901and which are those countries
Heyy Delisa i just discovered your channel..glad to be here. My questions are?
1. How strict is this program to non natives people that are not from the 7 contries listed on many websites.but from a country thats has English as a official language
2. How hard is it for graduates fresh out of university but have majored in Education. Should they apply teaching post or assistant post.😢😢 the only experience is school based study / internship throught out the years of studying
How is the standard of living compared to salary
Hi Christina! Thank you for stopping by. Well, Taiwan isn’t as strict like other countries when it comes to the native speaker issue. I come from Eswatini and we aren’t in the 7 countries but, English language is an official language so that is how we are considered here.
2. Well, I am not sure about which one to go for but the good thing is that you have an Education as you qualification so that does make you a good candidate. With the salaries here, one is able to survive and save money. However, it all comes down to one’s spending habits at the end of the day.
Please clarify on proof of experience. If i have worked in private home do i need to attach appointment letter from the school?
The teaching license they require is one issued by TSC only.
@@delisasimelane2901 I am not talking about teaching license, I have seen a section where they need proof experience such as appointment letter and certificate of employment.
@@user-sb5tt6hy1g I never uploaded any document in that section. If I remember very well, it is optional and I opted not to upload any document since I didn’t have it. However, if you have the required documentation, I would suggest you upload it in your application.
Hello my dear I'm new here, I just subscribed, I have Diploma and I want to know if they take diploma and also which diploma they consider or any diploma with Telf certificate?
Thank you for tuning in. Well, TFETP does consider Diplomas. They should be in Education because they hire qualified teachers. If you have a TEFL, I suppose it gives you some sort of advantage too.
@@delisasimelane2901 ok thanks lovey for your response, please let me know if you know the country that takes any diploma that is not in teaching and TELF certificate
@@sibusiwengqwemesa9024 Please try looking into Vietnam. I am not really sure.
Ohh they need teaching diplomas or degrees only?
Both.
Do i have to notarize my documents?
Yes, you do. At the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and at the Taiwanese embassy.
Can you please give a list of documents I need to notarize and if I need to have a medical check
Hi sisi, if you do not have experience in teaching but have worked before, maybe you have been Working as admin in any company, Can my manager or colleagues in admin write my recommendation letters?
Hey sis. Yes, they can.
@@delisasimelane2901 Thank you so much for your response❤️ you are very kind.
@@slindilebiyela1391 I am happy to help, and thank you for the compliment

@@mvelase631 this program requires you to be a qualified teacher.
