- The Army can operate anywhere in the world. Whether in combat or training, these operations are documented for planning and intelligence purposes, future exercises, historical records and as a source of information and influence to different audiences.
As the eyes and ears of the Army, a visual information specialist may do everything from design posters, interactive graphics and internet webpages to producing video productions using lights, camera and sound equipment.

Just retired. Started as a 25M.Multi Media Illustrator. Moved to 46V Visual Information Specialist. Great career field you can get a civilian job easily or do some freelance work.
I joined 2018 as a 91B and got out early 2022 in heading off to college in a couple months, but I’ve been thinking of reenlisting as a 25M I love to draw and Art is my passion, What’s it like as a 25M and did you like it, hate it, what’s the army live like doing this mos
I’m thinking of picking this MOS, how difficult is the AIT and the job in general?
@@angelmakimaUnfortunately there is no longer a MOS 25M in the army. It has been transitined to 25V and then to 46V. I am one of the last 25M in currently still in the army, and yes, it is/was the coolest MOS in the army!
Public Affairs Mass Communication Specialists (46Ss) are the on-air journalists.
Visual Information Specialists (46Vs) are the behind-the-scenes camera operators and digital editors.
No, 46S edit and operate cameras too. 46V take the same initial course as 46S but take an additional one month course. 46V usually nowadays just document things they don't release or make products
@@Anthony-uu2tk25v and 25m merged so 46v now Create graphic design posters or products. As well as video products. WHCA creates plenty of products.
What does 46t do ?
They repair the camera equipment, @@darkholes5878 .
@Anthony-uu2tk does 46v goes into combat only and not 46s? Since they almost the same thing?
Preproduction production and postproduction? All in one job that’s crazy!
Not really Victors don't really make products 46S do and they do practically the same job
If you’re a business owner, at one point you wore all three hats and more
The civilian gentleman on the left was my instructor at the school house 10 years ago. Hope you’re doing good!
Visual Information Specialist, also known as, Photographer
no
also known as POG
also know as propaganda specialist
@@alexfox4647where da pogey bait at
@@slowwmohnot really. Maybe PSYOPS. Regular photographers don’t create propaganda lol
I started as a 25P back in '92. AIT was at Lowry AFB back then. I think that MOS changed to 25V at the end of '93. I retired in 2016 as a 25Z. All through my time in the Army, the idea of combining with Public Affairs was always TALKED ABOUT and debated. I still hear about some growing pains from people I know who are still in or recently retired. But IMHO this should have happened about 20+ years ago.
I am currently in the process of joining the military. I really am looking to enlist in this MOS, but I am curious if it’s a job that is hard to get? I am very passionate for photography and I don’t see myself doing anything else. I was wondering how long I would have to wait for this MOS to be available if it isn’t when I go to MEPS?
Just an estimate would be great 👍
Now this is an army ad. Way better than those woke ads. This might actually make people want to join.
Maybe those woke ads were just ways to keep recruitment levels low. 🤔
@@MrNikkoz if that's the case then it worked REAL well lol.
Brandon's and Milet's Army IS woke AF, don't let this add fool you. The purging of Christians from the force is still happening.
Hola
0:44 Homeboy is lucky, I went to college for photography and multimedia design. Ended up as Field Artillery RIP lmao got dat bonus $$$ tho
How long is the air for this mos? I have been told different times.
6-7 months. It used to be 3 months photo 4 months video now it’s a mass communication foundation course with a com cam follow on portion
Tempting
Do it
I love US Army Members so much.😊😇😍🥰🤗
Ok this job seem so interesting. But I'm afraid of going to combat training. I'm scared to compete for my worth in front of a large crowd
Your battle buddies and drill sergeants will help you out. They want you to pass.
They do. But if you don't want to see combat be a 46S they see less combat if any and you get to release more products
Basic is easy. It’s all team work and obstacle courses. It’s not a individual thing you won’t be embarrassed
I want this job
Get it!
How does this differ from 46S?
It has combat potential
@@flunkoutbimble1747 both have combat potential.
46S actually release information Victors are not allowed to release information. Both MOS can be in combat but Victors are usually assigned to the 82nd Airborne or another combat outfit. If you want this MOS and want to release products go 46S if you want to see action 46V but you can rarely again see action as a Sierra
Im a web developer self taught and I am wondering if I can build upon that In this job
Gotta go through basic training
Is this MOS ACASP eligible?
You receive recommend college credits from DINFOS outside of that eh
It’s not. Only way to accelerate rank prior to joining is civilian education. So yes if you have a degree in photography you can join as a e4 if it’s a bachelors.
1:09 jankylanky?
Yessss

If only I wasn't fat and in somewhat okay physical shape this would totally be the perfect career path for me 😂😅
WARNING! Do not fall for this!! I'm currently serving as this mos. They are not open to anything artistic or creative, do not waste your time as a creative or they will waste yours!! please get a second opinion from a direct source before joining, never trust your recruiter, and never fall for a bonus!!
Is the only bad thing about it just the lack of creative input?
@@C-S..11126 Pretty much. Trade off: its only for like 3 years if you do one contract. Live to lets say 100, that's 3% of your life that got you free college; Full Sail University for me for film, everyone thinks your baby jesus cause you're in the military, disability, the list goes on. Hardest part of anything in this world is "people". They get you there physically, I could only do 10 pushups max before joining. But the people like in any job make or break the situations. Thankfully people rotate or dig their own graves :D
...Once more but in ENGLISH please, @@jayhub24?
@@marlonmoncrieffe0728 fr😂 bro was just yapping
@@jayhub24they changed this for 46S and 46V is not usually a 6 year contract due to training at least the only 3 year contracts I saw were reclasses.
This is good army! Stop having old people run the social media room over 34
34 is old?! ctfu
Old is from 75+ life is for the living, it all depends on how you eat and view life. 😊
Where did Emma go? 🤣😂🤣😂 Nothing like decimated recruiting to change the narrative of the woke Army.
You're not fooling anyone with your woke BS.
are you okay?
@JustinMacabre so instead of addressing my comment... you tactic is to ask if I'm "okay". Are you asking if I'm okay OR are you attempting to say there's something wrong with me. I think we both know the answer... and to that I say fu*ck off.
What’s woke about it?
Where’s the woke?
NO place for your type in the military. You put that uniform on, you are all family. I see how you are using "woke." Zero tolerance for racism in the Army.
