All of this and the OP still feels it was his fault. I say it's the wife and her friends fault, as that friend caused this whole downspiral. Hope OP will feel better, as barely any of this was something he could have avoided. Yes, he could've made the weight lighter on the wife with the whole divorce conversation and more, but it was 80% the wife's fault.

Long story short, op found out wife was using, wife went to rehab, op said he wanted divorce, wife od, wife passed, younger kids upset, oldest kid angry, op depressed
This man was really in love. People could hate him but this is really how love looks. I feel so sorry for him and his family, i hope one day the pain doesnt haunt them but the memories they have left become something they can remember her by
I know this supposed to be a tragic, but he's an idiot. First time okay, but after the OD on the second time, all the flags are crimsons. I know hindsight is 20/20, but even a blind man could have seen the writing on the wall. Biggest mistake was giving her the time of day after hospital visit.

This guy is so damn close to a Saint and patient man. Honestly, it sounds like he was a great father and husband, and didn't deserve what happened.

He needed to seriously search the house for drugs to prevent more damage also everyone just keeps ignoring the fact the wife was cheating on him
