I have a sony a6000 how does it compare agaist the two?
As always, you really do great with what you do. Have been using DJI pocket 2 since a year now, this little device does amazing job for all my vacation videos. I take videos for the clients during sightseeing tours and they get blown away seeing what pocket 2 can do. As long as it's working I will keep using pocket 2. Again thank you for this video.

I enjoyed your video! Only thing missing was the app comparisons. I really believe that DJI’s app is better. Especially with being able to view your content live. Plus, with the Pocket 2 you can put the camera at a distance and manually control the gimbal. Something you can’t do with the GoPro. Regardless, both cameras are great at capturing moments.

Yep, I've said on my Osmo Pocket 2 review that the screen needs to be bigger! If they could make it GoPro sized... it would make it way better. I love my OP2 and I am hoping that the OP3 includes that feature!

Thanks for the review. Can the DJI be linked to a screen monitor while shooting? Since the screen is too small? I need it for my lego content thanks!
You are welcome. The only way I know of is by using the DJI Mimo app on your smartphone or tablet. You can run this app wirelessly if you have the do-it-all-handle. If this is too small then you can stream the content of your phone/tablet into something bigger that may support it (i used a big TV display once connecting my Samsung to it)
Hi Otto, I have DJI pocket 2 and would record music videos of myself playing and singing. Since I can't invest into another camera and I reckon pocket 2 might be good enough for indoors as well, could you recommend how to set it up for my purpose? Would be greateful for your reply and insight.

hi, I would use 4K, 24 fps and try not to use a high ISO. if you are going to be indoors I would suggest to have some kind of light source, big window might help or artificial light if it's nighttime

I am retired and do a lot of action sports. My relatives and friends kept asking me to send videos riding my motorcycle, kayaking, hiking, electric kick scootering etc. So I bought a Go Pro Hero 11 bundle at Costco. I am now bombarding them with action videos. I am going to start traveling more so I saw DJI Pocket 2 and compared it to all other pocket cams. Well I bought a Pocket 2 and am waiting for it to arrive. I have watched your videos and really enjoy them and was part of my decision to buy the Pocket 2. Thank You!

Great video! Any advice on which one we should purchase to use for videos for our CZcams channel? I will be capturing live boxing & do live interviews.
I feel that both are really good, but you need to figure which one might adapt better to your style. BTW, if you are going to use this for live boxing and there isn't enough light, the GoPro will have that "glitch" effect because the stabilization will not work too well. That is a problem that you won't have with the Pocket 2 which relies on a mechanical gimbal

The DJI Action 2 is a good compromise between the image quality of the OSMO Pocket 2, and the overheating issues related to the GoPro Hero 11. Although the Action 2 can also overheat, the latest firmware update has really helped address this issue, and I have noticed a distinct decrease in instances where my Action 2 has overheated. I prefer the image of the original OSMO Pocket over the OSMO Pocket 2, even though the Pocket 2 actually has a larger image sensor. I think the lens in the DJI Action 2 is also actually sharper and has a slightly improved natural contrast versus the lens on the Pocket 2 camera.

no, 8:7 only has wide mode available, so no horizon lock

if you are not in a hurry maybe wait to see what the Pocket 3 has to offer, if it's not interesting for you at least the Pocket 2 will have an even better price.

if you are going fast I think the Gopro is a better choice in general. The Pocket 2 at high speeds will not perform as good

Now I have to narrow down between gopro 11 and dji action 3.
Both have some issues.
Gopro gets locked, and heat issue and dji action 3 focusing issues.
I drive around 80km per hour. But mainly in Ladakh mountains.

P2 is f 1.8 and GoPro f 2.8. makes huge difference even If same sensor. P2 gains a lot more light.

@@slhardworker3471Pocket 2 is better in every aspect except dynamic range. P2 gets full sensor read out without any upscaling and nothing beats out aperture 1.8. And you can use much slower shutterspeeds because no EIS.

I have difficult to choose between Pocket 2 and Insta360 Flow. One is small but old, while Insta360 the Video quality comes from the phone, so if you change your phone you will have a better video quality, disadvantage is the size of the Gimbal + the phone.
I am not a content creator ... but pocket 2, the prices is so much higher than a gimbal.
I would like to start a youtube channel with content of "walking videos through cities". Which one would you recomment me to buy?
if you have a high quality phone I might go with the gimbal, but it's a difficult choice, even though the Pocket 2 is older now, it is still a very good camera that has a built in gimbal. Battery limitation might be something to think about as well.
If we shoot nightscene and set the framerate to 30.. does the stabilization work ?

Hello, I am intending to start a new travel vlogging myotube channel along with some educational videos. I am really confused whether to go before pocket 2 or insta360 one rs. Is it worth going for pocket 2 now? I got an offer of 303 USD for pocket 2 exclusive combo( sunset white).The main reason that holds me back from pocket 2 is its low and noninterchangeable battery. Also i am really confused whether this pocket 2 is compatible with my Snapdragon 695- android 13 smartphone. can you suggest me a better option considering my requirements, the extreme cold weather in England during winter and my zero level of knowledge in vlogging and video editing?
Honestly, to start a vlogging channel, you will have a better time with the Pocket 2. You should buy a powerbank if battery is a concern. The combo has the do-it-all-handle and that means that it’s easy to connect an external mic or you can use the wireless microphone that it comes with. Being a mechanical gimbal will also be an advantage when you don’t have enough light. The downside besides de battery is the small screen but not a big issue for most people

i just bought the piocket 2 second haand today, and im worried its broken, its super hot. like wtf? it clicks too etc. idk!!
So sorry about this. Try using battery mode instead of high quality (I’ve talked about this, there is almost no difference except at low light and the difference is negligible). The click sound is not normal
@@OttoJulian_ thanks for letting me know, yeah ive only used battery saver as im running 4k 60 all the time, one more question if you odnt mind, does yours ever very quickly flick out of its spot and back in, im talking less then a second, randomly. like its lost the gimbal past the limit maybe, and then back, even tho im holding it dead straight

I am here to see how pocket 2 holds against go pro 12 as my go pro 12 shuts down due to overheating issue in middle of making videos.

@@OttoJulian_ I am using 4k/60 4k/30 too, and indoor videos have a lot of grains in them even outdoor videos have grains. so I was thinking to replace it and get Dji pocket 2, can you make at least 30 min long video with pocket 2 and does it has grains in indoor videos?

weeeeell, I still have both, and I will take one or the other to my trips depending on the trip, and what I want to achieve. If I know that there is going to be less light than ideal, I prefer the Pocket 2 because of what I said about stabilization.

@bearchillsm7lla well yeah, I though he was asking if there is zoom available. If he is asking if you can zoom while recording then that’s a no. Also, the zoom level depends on the resolution. At 4K there is only 1.4x

@@OttoJulian_ it lasts a little longer if I am moving, but not much. It is very hot in Vietnam.
@@ericd1084 yeah weather can play against it. If the camera is standing still it will get hotter fast. This camera relies on movement to cool down a bit (more wind blowing against it)
