VTEC FF vs. FR! Battle on Dry Pavement! (Best MOTORing)
This video was shot in 2013 for Hot-Version Vol.121.
Two top tuning cars in Japan, FD2 Civic R and S2000, got together.
We tried to see the difference in capabilities between FF and FR in which both have very similar engine specifications.
Miraculously, the pavement condition changed from wet to dry. This weather change revealed each machine’s capability of drive system!

S2000 had a big advantage with a giant GT wing and aero body, especially on the last corner.
in present days s2000 still is a big dog. awesome how good that car was!

I'd get the s2000. Getting a 4dr civic to gut it out defeats the purpose of having back seats
That Seeker fd2r has full interior but still damn fast!
You want a type r for the chassis not for the extra doors.
The A is strengthened to compensate so it's stiffer than a coupe in some models

If I am not mistaken, the J's Racing S2000 has a 2.4L motor outputting 320PS
For Seeker's FD2R, it has a 2.15L SL motor outputting up to 290PS with crazy wide Front tires for front end grip

@@tausif19 The engine is made by k-tech JP. It has a bigger bore and stroke to equal 2156cc, with 12.5:1 Compression ratio with lighter internals and a rev limit of 8600rpm.
チューニング進めて行くならFD2よりDC5の方が速いと思うんだけどなぁ

まぁドアも少ないし軽さとかは有利かも。
でも脚も違うしエンジン内部も違うし日本一決定戦にも峠魔王決定戦にもDC5ではなくFD2を各ショップが持ってきとるって事はまぁそういう事でしょうね。まず走りに大事なボディ剛性なんてFD2のが圧倒的だから同じ剛性アップチューンしてもFD2に分があるしそれはエンジンでも同じ。
あとはエアロの空力ポイントとブレーキ冷却系なんてFD2は標準装備だからベースとしては良いんでしょう
英訳、ギアじゃなくリアでしょ(笑)
車は加速したら前が浮くのに、フロントで駆動するってのは速く走る上ではやっぱりマイナスだな。
