Another advantage of the lightning spell you should mention is that it can reset the lock-on from the inferno tower.

The problem with frost spell is the fact that you're more likely to use it to freeze the river than slow down defenses.
So it's like a B tier in Balloon Lagoon and Jump Spell tier everywhere else
Its good for freezing multiple high hp splash defences. For example, in capital peak, you would frequently see all the high hp defences in the centre. They are not viable for lightning spells but a frost spell could work. Especially for the blast bow and rocket artillery
It takes 4 spell slot which is too expensive, rage is better
This is a great non biased tier list. You explained every troop in detail and even brought in some clips. I have a clanmate who sends mountain golem into infernos lol. He always gets like 5-6K capital gold per raid weekend without the bonus attack.

I do attacks with Mountain Golem...and I do pretty well. getting 16k to 18k gold
What Capital Hall are you?
For the mountain golem I always bring lightning spells to reset inferno, that way it is not melted fast by inferno.
And archers for dragons

been loving the videos! you popped up in my recommended about 2 months ago and had to drop a sub, you're the reason I redownloaded clash after not playing for a couple years, keep grinding :)
I like using the mountain golem against barbarian camp after my first attacks with a rage because it’s really effective if the buildings are close together (but not too close) and then maybe using balloons or other clean up troops to keep the golem’s path straight and short
If you're using the Golem, archers, loons, or hogs are almost always a better pick. Mountain Golem is also risky, as its high hit points are deceivingly low, and if you lose it, your entire attack is unsalvageable.

nice simple informative video, as someone who came back to clash recently literally only for clan capital your channel has been a nice find. though i made a fresh clan with my friends so our capital hall is only level 3, it does make me sad to know the mountain golem is ass, i've been excitied to eventually unlock it months down the road :p
hey maybe itll get a buff by then tho, surely supercell has the data to show that it's probably the single most underperforming troop in the clan capital :p

Valid rankings. Though in defense of the mountain golem I’ll say he still is viable when used correctly. I like to use him as an opener for Peaks if you can find an angle he won’t hit IT or the super dragon and still have no problem 3 clearing max CH10s (finishing with archers or air).
Also the super pekka under rage is a great way to take out a CH as you’ll almost always get more value than 4 archers under rage would so I like to bring one in my second attack.

I think the Mountain Golem is very useful when you first unlock it, but it gets less useful the more you upgrade your clan capital and get matched up with maxed capital bases. Because I used it for the majority of my raids, and I gotta say it's very strong when you play it carefully. It doesn't deserve all that hate ,it has really high damage. Pair it with a rage, and it will completely destroy a large compartment. Also, prepare a funnel for it using barbarians and archers.

Personally, I like to use the mountain golem on my second attack on the capital. 1 rage and a way to deal with inferno tower = gutted core

Using mountain golem strategies, I tend to get 14-16K each week due to its potential in clearing certain bases using a low number of attacks. They can have massive value clearing out buildings depending on how you use them, and the rage really does help counterbalance it’s rediculously slow move speed, though yeah if you are ever going to use them you cannot have them rushing into infernos without at the very least supporting tiny units and zaps to distract it for a while.
There are some niche bases that I still use mountain golems on. But it's very base dependant. Only place I ever use it is in golem quarry and builders workshop. Again tough that's very base dependant. Overall though I agree with your points.

Mountain Golem + archer w/ Rage and/or Lightning can easily 2 shot low tier Districts and 3 shot low tier capital. But the more and more defenses added it becomes worse and worse. I used to be a mountain golem player but ever since Capital 7&8 he is pretty much untouched except for cleanup if the leftovers are all bunched together.
yea, rn everyone has really rushed defenses to where most troops can still perform well. golem is one that can still function against low level defenses but as you get higher, it just loses all viability.

Great minds think alike, tier list looks great. I use super dragons just as rarely as the frost spell, to clean up failed 2 shots. I would maybe put pekka one tier higher to C since I'm a little bias and for the fact that pekka can take down CH alone so I often bring them in peak attacks. Ram op, useful all-round 👍

Yeah lightning is so meh sometimes, the fact that you can only get 2 air defenses for 6 spell space is really a bummer.
@@smippycis6285 well, you don't use them if the base doesn't have any cluttered air defenses or spear throwers.
At high level, 4 zaps can take out equal level spear throwers and 5 for air defense. You many not understand but by using those, I got a max of 5805 capital gold in 1 at capital gold lvl 8

well there was only a few changes. inferno dragon id place at C, altho its good against dragon cliffs, not so much anywhere else. for graveyard, id create another tier above S for it cause even after its nerf its still completely broken for both ground and air attacks.
Skelly barrel + fortress + rage and 2 zaps(we can't use 2 rages) with some rocket balloons and minions to clean is god in 2 attacks we can win in our clan is just absurd the amount of value of fortress and barrels

I agree with you. When I first saw the mountain golem, I thought it was the best troop. But then I played him a few times and I realized, that he is completely trash.
Switch fortress and wizards… and switch minions and barbs… other than that I think this list is great (maybe put lightning in B because it’s definitely a skill cap spell that not everyone can use)

you can use all Battle Rams for an attack and they make quick work on a base. I can easily take down any base except the barbarian camp and capitol with just 3-4 attacks with rams. After all the walls are destroyed then rams will target buildings and explode!!! its awesome
i used frost a bunch in CH7 because 5 spell capacity is most justified than 6. with 6, double rage or double heal is more valuable, with 5 you are either getting a heal/rage and 2 lightnings or a frost and 1 lightning. its specifically not good at CH8 and CH9

Super Barbs at C? I think B is much better because it's an amazing troop to remove single buildings for the lowest deployment spot.
Also Skeleton Barrels are getting an HP buff in the next update. It won't change their placing but it may see some more use

-Each upgrade will increase his walk speed
-After get destroyed, stones were thrown further

yes, you can friendly challenge your own bases in the clan capital. open up one of your districts, open clan chat, and then hit challenge at the bottom. also, all those clips are legit (either from me attacking or attacks done against us) except ofc the ram jump one :>

My personal favorite troop from there is Flying Fortress
with mountain golem he can be pretty good if you rage him and get good pllacement and its a base without a inferno

Is pekka really bad? my strat of Pekkas and Hog riders seems to have done so much good for me. And I usually run the frost spell lol
its gotten better in graveyard meta against capital peak, but its just got too little stats. with hog is one of its most notable uses tho
@@SenFGr Yeah I actually had a decent few attacks this weekend now that my clan finally has the graveyard spell unlocked. Graveyard and Rage works well in most instances with the pekkas and hogs if you don't have to worry about blast bows and rockets I suppose

If Pekkas used less housing space like in home village theyd be a pretty good strat
Since i just use them with battle rams to break several holes into a base, then cleanup with a loon rush

I think that Mountain golem should be in front of jump because it has at least 1 use. If you have only few buildings left and you want max bonus for troops you can take mountain golem. So it has at least 1 use unlike jump

Yeah this is what I use it for. Safe bonus gold for clean up.
But you can use a jump spell if you are limited for troop space as you can save onto multiple rams with it.

I know he isnt that good but you basically always bring barbs for things like clearing trash and tanking/ getting rid of bomb towers but his hp pool would make him B because he can also tank traps wich minios/archers cant and his damage is really good for 5 troop space
i think barb is another troop that gets hit lower by the ram. the ram is just such a good tank which reduces some of that functionality for the barb
i like to use barbs to snipe open air defences as a second attack, before sending my rocket loons in.
Do you think that supercell putting the frost spell as 3 spell capacity and the rage as 4 would take the archer meta away and make the frost spell more useful?
thats the thing. i dont even think that 3 capacity frost would be all that broken so im not sure what its doing at 4. defenses firing at half speed are still kinda nasty, especially the rocket artillery

I 100% disagree about mountain golem. but yes I really hate those noobs using it constantly. mountain golem has its rarest way of using it. it's really the worst if u start at any new bases which u just posted at the last minute XD I get it. mountain golem is always the best when u take down its weaknesses like Inferno and other single-targeted grounds. it's a bit opposite of the way how u used to snip out the air defenses. and this is where the frost spell has the biggest value to freeze the rest of the ground defenses and even the hard bases where they cornered the rocket artilleries and blast bows. I mostly used this strategy on the capital peak when the capital hall is active without its weaknesses. I hope u will get used to it on and upload ai new video about it it. chears ;)
Mountain golem is really trash... Except for destroying other golem quarry's just because he can cross a river that is 1-2 tiles thick.
The only time I used mountain golem was to take down a capital peak when I destroyed almost all big threats in the previous attacks, using rocket loons and archers and super wizard rage to the capital hall

@@Hagurmert if ur in a splash situation where they cornered their rocket artillery giant cannon and blast bow. i use mountain golem instead of sneaky archers and got so much value as a CH10 where the combination of rage and froust spell ul get there soon ;). just it needs a bit of practice. if the golem survives full-time on ur second attack, ul expect a great result. but I don,t say it's a good troop but not the worst.

I just disagree with pekka and frost spell) Pekka for me is B tier - like swiz very useful in some situations (best for taking capital hall if there is not much damage around), and frost can be C tier (maybe just for ch10 player), but you can use 4 lightnings 2 rages and frost in 2 attacks overall - good for archers beginning and rloons ending
There is one good thing to mountain golem, when the base has about 20% left to be cleaned, using a mountain golem to sweep the junk left, can ensure +160 bonus capital gold for the end of the attack. Also battle ram nerf 😭

I tink pekka should be c tier(b tier for lower level capital halls in my opinion), a couple of them combined with rage = absolute destruction. And unlile super giant, they aren't completely helpless if the high-dps troop they were tanking for dies to something like rocket artillery or a trap since the super pekka itself has good dps.
Edit: Also, the super pekka not being able to one shot any of the clan capital defenses is not new. The pekka in home village can't do that either, weaker defenses taking 2 shots and stronger defenses taking 3-5 shots, sometimes more. But I'm not a maxed clan capital yet, maybe it becomes less viable at higher levels. If so, maybe they could have it's death damage stun defenses? Pretty minor buff, but that should help it.
For the mountain golem, they should make it target defenses since, well... it's a golem.
I'll like to disagree with zap placement. It's A tier at best. Don't get me wrong I use rocket loon zap. But you can use them only if you are using rocket loon attack. Where as rahe and heal you can use with multiple other troops. If a defender builds his base properly he can prevent zap value, but that's not the case with heal/rage.

For me personally I think you get great value from zap no matter the base layout. Getting rid of 3 different areas of towers within 2 attacks gives good value even if you can only reach one air defence at a time.
I’d say it’s more versatile then heal. I use zap with loons, or flying machine, also other hybrid attacks. I only use heal with hogs.
The heal and rage spell also have the problem that if the base is spread out it’s hard to get value out of them.
@@Ozneb_ i disagree about heal. I use heal with giant wizards bomb/ giant cannon raid. I setup wizard bomb with archers and place the rage and then the next battle use the heal. Especially against the capital hall. Also you need to consider all capital hall levels, till level 7 when you can only have 5 spells, if you cannot get rid of multiple air defence with zap, don't see the point of using it.
@@Ozneb_ also if you are using zap, on an average you need to use it for both attacks, where as with heal and rage you can switch up the spells between 2 raids, in first setup attack you use rage and then heal in next and vice versa (on an average attack). Don't get me wrong, Is zap better than heal? Yes, but it does have it down side which stops it from being a s tier spell unlike rage, for which I don't see any down side unless you use it wrong.
@@keelergaming3624 yeah you make some good points. Iv only considered them as max leveled. For me, it’s my most used spell and I effectively 2 shot bases because it works so well with balloons.
I agree that the zap is harder to use at lower levels and your better off using heals or rages if you have Low spell space.
If Zap is in A tier, I would probably move down flying machine to B and minions to C
