In this video tutorial, I review the DJI Tello, a drone that can do flips in 8 different directions, land in your hand, and shoots 720p video and 5MP photos.
This is why many people still consider the DJI Tello the best drone for $100. You can also buy the Tello Combo, which comes with extra accessories, including 3 batteries and a charging hub.
I like the DJI Tello because it do flips and flies up to 20mph in fast mode, stopping one a dime. It also comes with propeller guards and is endure many crashes and still fly.
It is a great gift for families and children as it is made to be flown indoors and is very safe. It can also be flown outdoors when there is little to no wind.

Hey Bret, really enjoyed your enthusiasm for the Tello drone. I bought the Tello drone and the spark about a year ago. So I really never got good with either one of them. They’ve been packed away for at least one year and I’m gonna start with the Tello and get back playing with it. I’ll save the spark until I Master the Tello. I have the controller and I have the Wi-Fi extender. Anyway wanted to say I enjoyed your video.

Just found out that you have to agree to authorize DJI to have access to your contacts and every file in your phone or computer before you can use it. Like GoPro, this allows them to delete any contact or file in your computer with the GoPro QUIK app. They can also go into your social media accounts and delete any footage they deem to be objectionable. That means if they don't like your video of your kids birthday party, they can delete the youtube video, the facebook video, the twitter video. AND your Icloud account. If that was your only footage of that birthday, it's gone. People don't realize what they are giving up by agreeing to these contracts. No more privacy. Edward Snowden was right. This is a great surveillance tool for the gov't to watch what people are doing.

Hell of a bargain for 150. Especially to learn on etc.. great vid as usual.
Now you can buy GPS drone with obstacle avoidance and better cam for about $40-50 or old good one with SD card.

The difference between the tello and other drones is that controlling is with the entrance of the batterie’s facing towards you, not with the camers in your direction.
Nice info video for those starting out Brett but pic in pic view???... it’s actually for VR mode using headsets like Utopia 360, EVO , etc. Definitely a fun little machine and you can get a real inexpensive Wifi extender called an Xiaomi Plus that gives you at least 3-5x the flying distance and virtually eliminates the video latency.

Very new to drones but your guide makes it very easy I am having issue doing a firmware update but that doesnt seem to effect flight will try a few things later in the week to fix. 65 years young and just discovered drones cool

I am sorry to comment...but I think the right circular control is for forward, backward, left sideward and right sideward.there is no up and down because the up and down virtual button are at the left circular virtual control. Correct me if I am wrong...but that's what I knew about it.

The only advantage of this drone which was not mentioned here is that it is programmable - it has USB port to connect to the computer for it. But because it doesn't have GPS, but a visual stabilization system instead it's limited to fly only above well lighted ground with good contrast and details or drone will land if the conditions are not perfect for this system to operate.

I haven't flown my Tello in quite a while so today I took it out for a flight. My three batteries are fully charged but when I turn on Tello, the light flashes 3-4 times and turns off. It does this with all three batteries. Does anyone know what's going on with that?
