Brent Spiner, doing the part of Bob Wheeler, and his Wife (June Wheeler...I don't know who that young lady was, name-wise), was one of my favorites. This guy was great, too ..and even threw in a vanishing act, just for good measure. One other character that was on this show was "Speedy"... you know, the guy that came into the Courtroom from the wrong way, wore a Green suit, had short, dark hair, and talked like Cecil Turtle, from the Bugs Bunny Cartoons. It turns out that they were able to get permission for this guy to do the imitation of Cecil Turtle, because both Bugs Bunny Cartoons, and Night Court, were both owned by Warner Brothers...or so rumour has it. These shows were so much fun to watch! Judge Harry Stone, and Bull, were my favorites from Night Court. Dan Fielding was easily my least favorite, due to the fact that he was such a Womanizer, and only cared about himself. Oh, well...it is what it is!

John Larroqutte was a gifted physical comedian. And, oddly enough, the guy who did the opening voice over for The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (yes, THAT one) although he is not credited in the film for some reason. Once you know it is him, it's obvious.
Hollywood is, unfortunately, rebooting the series. I'm happy that John Larroquette is coming back, but not interested in the crap writing today's generation spews out. Probably going to be more woke trash.
i knew Harry when he lived in new orleans. Amazing guy. Had.2 gigantic blue.macaw birds, one of them was sweet and the other one only did two things, 1)Bite, and 2) say "Dont bite" in harry's voice!
What's sad is that I came across in my late father's collection an unplayed, pristine radio station promo copy of a very old 10" Mel Tormé album, and I was going to send it to Harry Anderson when he suddenly died. He would have cherished it, I think.

I decided to binge watch some clips after watching the new Night Court. And this one was always my favorite. From harry's rant to Larroquette's little spin there. My favorite was always the LOUD laughter from that one guy in the audience. that gets me the most.
Fun Fact: The boisterous laughter you hear noticeably coming from the studio audience in this and many episodes is none other than (1) either executive producer Reinhold Weege or (2) Reiny's father, Chuck Weege.
Yeah, it’s the laugh for you here at the end of every episode too for the production company logo. That laugh scared me when I was a kid, but now that I know what a tribute to his fathers laugh it makes me smile 😃

It it just me or was Nightcourts laugh track the best in the business. If it was a live audience and it was real laughter, than they somehow got the best laughers in that audience week after week.
I live in MD...so lacrosse is big here in this region. The episode of the day of their Memorial Day party, and Harry showed up in his lacrosse garb....shorts, shoulder pads, helmet , stick in hand......and shouted "Get the game on!!!!" Had to be an awareness of the sport take hold. For those who dont know..Memorial Day is the traditional National Championship of lacrosse.

That's only the second Night Court clip I've watched and both of them someone vanishes from the courtroom. It's such a common occurrence they just move on to the next case. I loved this show growing up. It broke my heart when they all died except John Larroquette.
Critics never gave this show it's due. The whole cast is acting together throughout the scene. Also don't think I didn't notice that Harry Anderson himself is the one triggering the smoke effect, slowly moving his right hand below the desk during his speech. Dan's little turn at the end really sells the whole thing.
I like how Dan spins around after the magician disappears and how Christine fans the smoke.
That's called timing in comedy. That's why the show was so good..
