    Showing the interim time when the paint is spreading but hasn't absorbed into the resin yet, when it still looks terrible, was a great idea.
    That's when a lot of crafters would start freaking out.
    reassuring them That's what it looks like before the resin hardens was a great idea, man.

      Think my ancestors came across the pond in like 1651 so we are pretty much removed from Jolly Ol England but I can understand the talk pretty well. Guess I can thank Benny Hill, The Young Ones, Monte Python, and more for that. What's strange is there's people here in the US I don't have a clue what they are saying half the time.

    • @artinyounki
      @artinyounki Před 7 lety

      do you know if the resin is heat reactant, as in if i was to use a hair drier on it would it set faster?
      also how dose it mix with PVA?
      in the past i have used pva in thick layers and when i have used a hear drier on the pva it started to create air bubbles as the small air bubbles would heat up and the air would expand. the problem was that most of them would deflate after i removed the hair drier and they started to cool down.
      on a later date i mixed in acrylic paint with pva and found that i could get small bubbles to form much easier than big ones as they would dry faster and hold there shape.
      im just wondering if i was to mix them and use a hair drier would it do the same thing...

    Thanks for the video! But I'm wondering of you could help me?
    Im trying almost the same as this, but for 32mm and 40mm bases. And im really struggling to get the same or even similar effects.
    The project is a green daemon bile goo base, with some demon /nurgle tentacles poking out (just a simple milliput sausage job for tentacles) for my grey knights. Ive gone an actual darkish grey and not silver for my knights, and wanted something nice and contrasty. And not the typical lava base people always do for grey knights.
    But the main issues I'm getting is massive shrinkage from vellejo still water effects, (but that can be worked around with more layers) and I can't get the yellows and lighter greens to disperse and blend nicely like you can on a deeper bigger pool for Terrain.
    Just wondering if you had any recommendations? Or possible a different method is needed for the smaller shallower bases?
    Thank you

    After watching you videos, I dropped into my local Poundland. Bought a few bits, spot on with those bargins for making terrain. Are those bubbles made using the Tommy Walsh Anti Skid/Scratch pads from Poundland? Would love to see more sci-fi terrain.

      No problem, I'll drop into Poundland and have a look for them. Keep up the great videos.

    What did you use to cut the barrels to get them to look like that? And can you list the paints you used? Specifically all the greens, the yellow, and then the rust color(s) you used for the barrels. Lastly, what are the things you used for the bubbles called? Thanks!
