it was only ever a bandaid to get epa happy. doesn't accomplish diddle. mmr is also an unnecessary addition. sounds good now. check out belt drive i put on my Marauder at my channel.
:D I have ex500 kawasaki with nexxus 2in1 exhaust. It is from 2 pieces and in the middle wheres the top meets pipes I have a little leak. Plus bike has a PAIR system and I have a sweet semi loud backfire
Hi, were you adviced to modify your jets (if your Marauder is carbureted)? I am thinking of just upsizing the pilot jet of my bike in order to decrease or eliminate the hideous pops on deceleration. Main jet is not the problem according to mech. Please do reply.
sparklysparks77 The pair valve causes A lot of the deceleration backfire. It’s an emissions device That allows air to be pushed into the exhaust and then whenever the cylinder fires on the exhaust stroke it ignites what gassed are in the exhaust to burn it off. And it had a stage one jet kit in it when I bought it in September. It cost me less than 40 bucks to eliminate the pair valve. And less than an hour of my time

But I love when its firing on deceleration :D
Cpt Slow it was ridiculous how much it backfires going down the road.
