I think that honestly people are really missing that this GHB is kind of moot. We're basically playing the base game with GHB maps. Almost nothing in the season is of consequence. There will be some armies that naturally run GC units because that's all they have (beasts of Chaos) that can make use of the rules, but ultimately won't be the determining factor in their wins. I think that Big Waagh will do about as well as it did in the last season. I think ironjawz will do about as well. I think there's some armies that get a slight boost, but ultimately we are playing on an even playing field. There's no single army that has any advantages.

I play Big Waagh competitively and agree it’s the best way to play the war clan book. This list you made looks tough but lacks a fast unit. Bolt boyz get targeted aggressively so having a monster or any of the assorted pig riders can help.

I will put this on the table next game.

And ultimately it comes down to the fact that foot heroes are basically not impactful to the game. IF GW had said that all GC units gain +1 to their wounds characteristic MAYBE we'd be talking about an impact. Because I'm almost 100% certain there isn't a GC at 9 wounds, meaning even a doombull at 8 would now be a 9. And having that extra wound, the ability to hide beside battleline and needing them for battle tactics, maybe we'd be seeing a different game. But they didn't do that. There's no insensitive to take GC units because they're all bad. (95%) and some of the tactics are actually impossible to do first off on some maps, which is SUCH a huge oversight. And second, the other ones you might pull off 1-2 and then you only need 1-2 from your book, and the other 3 doable ones, desecrate, eye for and eye and gaining momentum. It's like, why even bother with ANY of the stupid poorly thought out new ones lol

I don't know. Swampcalla Shaman is pretty good 😋

Sniping GC does nothin imho. You need to kill big infantry units or quick hammers not some random 120pkt hero on the other side of the field.

In general I would agree that most GC units are not valuable for their individual lethality. That said warclans have 2 GC that break that mold in a big way. A wurgog with glowy tattoos is typically doing 10-20 mortals to anything in its range. Now with ghurish rage they can revive on a 1+.
The megaboss on foot throws more attacks than some 400 point monsters. While rend 1 is sometimes limiting he gets huge value from fighting in the hero phase, right after all buffs have dropped and they can’t use all out defense, he doesn’t care about fight last because he fights on death. When he is getting 18-20 attacks on 2/2 it gets silly.

@@olafolafsson2755 yes, I really depends. Seraphon has small heros that buff like mad. Same with Ironjawz and their Warchanters.
