    Hi my have about 50 mth, and I spot oil leak from valves covers, the bike was not used for about 6 months is this normal in this bikes I have changed my exc 350 to this bike and I just confused if this is normal at this amount of mth?

    Have the same pegs and just replaced them at 220hrs with some more, they really only need some new bushes. Have the same seat cover, it's also more water proof than the standard one. Been thinking of making a jig like that for my pipe so i can pull the front back into place.

      @The Dirtbike Rider there's a kit to seal both ends includes a Schrader valve and pressure guage to fill and monitor.

    Thank you for the valuable information!
    How many times did you change the piston?
    Best regards

    • @TheDirtbikeRider
      @TheDirtbikeRider  Před rokem +2

      I haven't changed the piston yet, I usually change it around 150 hours. But control is important, looking at the piston through the exhaust to see condition, and compression test. A good air filter is important for a long life of the piston and, of course, that the engine does not overheat.

    hi, I have the same bike as you and I'm undecided whether to put a carbon guard on the muffler given how yours has shrunk. What do you recommend? What do you think about the plastic crankcase protectors?Thanks

    • @TheDirtbikeRider
      @TheDirtbikeRider  Před rokem +1

      I have water pump for fixing exhaust so i dont use any protection, otherwise protection for engine like skid plate and tps sensor guard is very good to have. However, I believe that a skid plate and TPS sensor guard would be extremely useful, especially if you intend to ride the bike in rough or rugged terrain. These types of protection can help prevent damage to the engine and other vulnerable parts of the bike, saving you money and time in the long run. Overall, I believe that investing in protective gear and accessories for your dirtbike is always a good idea, as they can help keep it in good working order and extend its lifespan.

    They changed the springs in the new models, the 2020 stock spring is softer than the stock in 2022.

  • @gophop

    I don't see the frame covered in oil from the tank. I'm guessing you don't fill yours to the brim and then complain about the "poorly designed" cap?

    • @TheDirtbikeRider
      @TheDirtbikeRider  Před rokem +1

      I pour the oil to about 70-80% of the height of the oil tank, so that I can always see the oil and level. As for the oil cap , it is poorly designed, because a lot of dust gets in and sticks to the oil. It is good to have a little sponge around the cap, this prevents the entry of dust. Of course, it's important to wash the dirtbike properly, keep the cap clean, and don't pour oil on top, and everything will be fine.

    Is the Sherco in the same league as the Ktm far as performance? I’m not interested in resale as I keep bikes a long time.

    • @dikijanuarniagara

      for me Sherco is better in lower RPM, maybe because still use a carbuerator.
