This is normal. If you touch the gas pedal a bit (up to 3500+ RPM) It will squirt oil out as well, its better if it doesn't, of course, but it's pretty normal and won't cause any problems. HOWEVER if the smoke comes out, run boi!
It only happens on 4cylinder engines right? Cause I have a V6 and it doesn’t do that but the other 2 4cyl they do that one is turbo and the other one isn’t
That’s what I open up my cap for while it was running to see if there was smoke coming out but there wasn’t I just hope didn’t cause any vacuume leaks or anything I only did it for like 5 8 seconds
so you have quite a bit of air coming out in your TSXs just like this car? I have a supercharged S2000 and it is alot of air coming out, thankfully no smoke tho
@@zanahale yep I mean you should have air coming out… you just created a huge vacuum leak by doing this and you should have oil pressure. No smoke is key, smoke indicates blow by
Did you ever figure out what was wrong, I have a 2005 Honda Element doing the same thing but the air coming out the oil filler hole is way stronger. Let me know.
Yes, this is called blowby. Essentially, combustion gases leak out of the combustion chamber. However, after some research, a certain amount of blowby is expected and is not a good indicator of whether or not an engine is worn out. This was a used car I was looking at to purchase, I did not buy this one due to other indicators that it was, in fact, a piece of shit. Excessive or pulsating blowby may be an indicator of worn piston rings. Worn piston rings equals a poor seal within the combustion chamber. This is where I would start. Let me know what happens.
Only way for the oil to get anywhere it's needed is if it's a pressurised system. So yes it's normal. Opening that pressurised system while it's running is not normal.
I noticed same thing on a Mazda CX7 2.3 Turbo - there is no blowby at the oil stick though - which is really odd. My theory to explain this is that the oil cap is big hole and is turning off the PCV valve... dipstick hole is smaller and creating enough pressure to keep PCV open and then there is no blowby. I hope a mechanic could confirm this for us!

What does it mean if smokes out
@@rbarr1200blowby
Lol 😂 y’all are crazy that’s a completely healthy engine it did not change a single sound when he opened that cap
What is the problem if the sound change
For hondas is normal, Jst like the noice is making,
Same with my 06civic
Normal just checked both our tsxs

Thank you. I opened the oil cap and there was air coming out I was very worried but no smoke 😅
check your spark plug if theres oil its blowby if dry its a healthy engine
Hey, i have the same problem on my accord, did you fixed or it’s normal?
I’ll buy the engine if you selling.
Is that normal or need to be fixed, what to should I do
I was confused which way is normal when air coming out or when vacuum it?
Can fix it ?😢

Pcv valve change it
@@brandypresley1869can you explain further?
@@dominozondaPCV Valve allows excess crankcase pressure to be released. If its not operating or is stuck then the crankcase pressure will be too high

Is it fucking bad or good? I don’t understand and it’s pissing me off. 50% say yes then the other 50% say no. Which is it?

If to much blowby replace pcv valve
Is fine, but if you're burning oil, replace the PCV Valve.. And to make sure nothing is hurt just run a compression test.
I have a veloster 2013 doing that not that much pressure coming out yet that’s normal?
couldn't tell you man.
Yes it’s normal
Use thick oil and fill to the midlle on dip stick and the blowby decrease.❤
Under no circumstances should you use thicker oil in a vtec engine it’ll clog the valve actuators
I have a Peugeot 308 2015 that is doing the same thing after a drive but its only hot air blowing out from the oil cap is it normal?...🤔
Citroen 2.2hdi doing the same, but I also have small amounts of smoke. I suspect head gasket or piston rings, no idea which.
@@daniel.s.stefanov head gasket only if there is white smoke coming out of the pipes or the coolant is mixing with the oil then it's the head gasket
Iv got the opposite happening my engine has negative pressure like it wants to suck the cap back onto, any idea what the cause of my issue could be?
You oil breathers got a leak
@@solomongater4462 deffinaly a good possibility Im waiting on a new pcv valve and preying that's the problem
in my case its coming from engine dipstick ?
in that case, your piston rings is the culprit.
