- Tobermory is the only distillery on the Scottish Ilse of Mull and is located in the middle of the eponymous capital of Mull. Tobermory is one of the oldest active distilleries in Scotland.
Having been established in 1798, Tobermory is one of the oldest distilleries in Scotland. Back then, John Sinclair named his distillery 'Ledaig', which is Gaelic for 'safe haven'. The small town that Sinclair had chosen for his distillery was a small fishing harbour in a quiet bay - a veritable 'safe haven'. The distillery had ups and downs over the course of history. It was mothballed, reopened and sold again and again. The last long production halt lasted from 1930 until 1972.
We were allowed to visit the Tobermory Distillery and got exciting insights that we don't want to withhold from you.

Cheers from Korea! I'm a huge fan of Ledaig and Tobermory... thanks for amazing film!
First off at the start to the right of Bens shoulder is a white building that is Cafe fish one of the best sea food eating houses in the UK.
Love Mull spent many years there for the wild life and drinking Tobermory 10, that could be hit and miss lol.
Ledaig 10 is always in my stash, a great drinker and a bloody good bottle
What a wonderful videos. Thank you!
Excellent video, thank you
Distell did a great job here just as they did with Bunna and Deanston
The Post Office nextdoor has been our holiday a accommodation for the last two years. Its nice to enjoy the warehouse tasting and then not have to drive anywhere. Luckily, my partner also loves Tobermory and Mull so that's how I've got away with it. Great video as always. 🙂👍
Love these videos so much! Spending time with the manager and going through the core range.. tasting/nosing notes etc.. such an easy watch. I have the Ledaig 10 and 18 plus the Tobermory 12, was really interested to hear what the Tob21 was like. Keep them coming!
Great naturally presented whisky 🥃 thanks Ben for the tour and thanks to Olivier. Ciao 👋 S.
Really high quality filming and audio! Lovely this distillery! Great job! Olivier was very knowledgeable and engaging which is great!
Nice quality video, as always.
Thanks to Horst and Ben for the effort.
Fantastic video, as alwyas! Thank you very much for this
Thank you 🙏
Thanks for yet another glimpse into a distillery. I'm really liking these videos. As a South African, I must just say how frustrating it is that I've never seen a single bottling from this distillery for sale here. That's very strange, seeing as they are owned by Distell! I am totally jealous of people who can easily buy it.
Great video.
Great vídeo! What is the process tô visit the place? We are going from Brazil to Scotland late March/23 for a whisky experience and would love to visit this town and destilary!
