- After spending an idyllic weekend in Connecticut with friends, Lucy decides she wants to change her surroundings entirely.
I Love Lucy is an American television sitcom starring Lucille Ball, Desi Arnaz, Vivian Vance, and William Frawley. The black-and-white series originally ran from October 15, 1951, to May 6, 1957, on CBS. All 180 episodes aired on Mondays.
In total 180 episodes of I Love Lucy were produced, plus a pilot episode. The pilot, which was not made for broadcast and did not air as part of the show's original run, is generally not counted as one of the episodes and therefore listed separately for reference. It is, however, available on DVD and Blu-ray releases of the first season. Following I Love Lucy, a further 13 one hour-long episodes were produced under the title of The Lucille Ball-Desi Arnaz Show (later and more commonly known in syndication as The Lucy-Desi Comedy Hour) with the same cast and later packaged as seasons 7, 8 & 9 under the I Love Lucy series.
I love this episode. She always wanted to move out to the country and she finally did. And I love how Ethel was missing her so much and the next episode they visit and then later on they move to the country and be with the Ricardo's. Love their friendship. Love this show. I love Lucy.
You have WONDERFUL taste !!!! I only wish Hollywood would learn from I Love Lucy, BeWitched, and Carol Burnett Shows !!!! Have an I Love Lucy Day and God bless all the viewers !!
Well, I'm awfuly glad I saw this back when it was first made, because you just totally ruined it for future viewers, giving the story line in a very cramped nutshell!!
And I’m making this to 20 likes! 😀
Lucy and Vivian were great together and were good friends in real life. A class act! How I miss the days when TV had real comedy.
And no vulgarity or sex talk or none of that nonsense...though I did like roseanne...til they won the lottery and the show wasn't funny anymore
@@ernestinemaloy8680 exactly!
I wish they would have made more I Love Lucy with them in the country.
I think it was this time when Viv gotten tired of traveling back and forth between two cities, home and work and decided to make guest appearances then later none the reason they called it quits!
@@hana.the.writer5074Desi would arrive tipsy and forget his lines during that time. Him and Lucille were also fighting more backstage and the marriage was worst than ever, so they couldn’t do it anymore. Sad that such a great show never had an ending 😢 It seemed so unfinished when you watch the last episode.
Still makes me laugh
$3.08 for a train trip, wonder what that would cost today. Quaint old american Fred😂😂
About 30 to 35 bucks. So double for the both of them.
Darling so Sweeeet..🌹
Really feel sorry for Ricky Sr. to be married to Lucy oh boy!!! Poor fellow! :)
Sometimes the fridge door opens the other way. Lol
The television doesn't have an electric cord...
@@randysills4418😂
Haha
Why does Ricky need breakfast? He gets home at 2 am and goes in at 4pm.
@alandale2182 but he went in the afternoon or morning for rehearsal with the band and the dancers if they had any
@@schatz1876 👍✌️
what a dumb time to end it
It’s called a clip, dummy.
$3.08 in 1955 is $35.36 in 2023
Moving to Connecticut was a disaster for the show.
City living is so much better than the boring country
It's never boring out here on our 30 acres.
Yeah and crime and pollution galore is sooooo inviting.
You can have the dirty city
Of course with the name city dweller 😄 you'd think that.
