As a 25 year old growing up watching this show daily. This show has came my comfort show. Take a shower? I Love Lucy. Need back ground noise? I Love Lucy. I truly do wish I could have met her before she passed. It would be freaking awesome.

I was basically raised on this show, it was my mom's favorite show because it was family friendly and genuinely funny. I never got sick of watching it, and even now as an adult I never tire of it.

@lana lake There are some shows, comedy or not, that I absolutely adore and want to know just as well as I do this! Like, McHale's Navy, Get Smart, One Step Beyond (not a comedy, but hey!), the Lucy Show, the Twilight Zone, Hogan's Heroes, that kind of show
Comedic genius, nothing today can come close to these 4. Great writing with acting perfection, holds up after 70yrs not many shows can say that!

I grew up watching "I Love Lucy!" These clips made my day! I taped every episode commercial-free!
This show brings me back to a much simpler time in my life.
As a child, I remember my family would watch the "I Love Lucy show together from
7:00 PM-8:00 PM, then it was bedtime.
In this video, I saw a small segment of how this show used, to begin with, a cartoon before they changed the beginning with the HEART Shape ❤️ with the words, "I Love Lucy!" That really brought me back in time!
I hope the younger generation enjoy watching I Love Lucy, as much as those of us who grew up watching it on TV! This is comedy at its best! R.I.P Lucy, Dezi, Vivian & William XO

I love how often Ethel's dresses have pockets. Why dont we have that anymore?
Most dresses and skirts used to have pockets before the 1960s. It was just assumed you'd be wearing your dresses around the house or out shopping or whatever and you might need pockets. I'd say you can kinda blame their disappearance on the popularity of the miniskirt and "wiggle" dresses later on. A lot of trendy 1960s skirts/dresses were made without pockets 'cause it would mess up the way they fell (i.e. create ugly bulges) so, we girls started to depend even more on our purses. Then, dresses started to be perceived as more of a "fancy thing" rather than something you wear every day so... slowly but surely we lost our awesome dress pockets. 😭 Most manufacturers basically became convinced we didn't need them (and they like saving the cost of extra fabric).
I KNOW! I have 3 dresses and only on has pockets and it’s supposed to be a vintage style dress!
Those were known as housedresses! They were popular in the 40s and 50s. My grandma used to wear them.

@@SwiftFoxProductions That's funny. You would think they could make pockets with pretty designs and embroidery and shaped to look good on the mini skirts and shorter dresses. I always have to have pockets no matter what I do. I hate to have to carry purses all the time.

I have loved this show since i was 5 or 6 years old. I am now 62 and I have several of her videos. I never get tired of watching I Love Lucy, as well as The Lucy Show. She was definitely the "Queen of Comedy" and the "Best female actress ever. )

Well, all time periods have their gems and their turds. There is as much good entertainment today as ever if you know where to look and you lose the nostalgia goggles.
I will admit you have to sift through a lot of awfulness to find something good these days, but it can be very rewarding to keep an open mind about entertainment from different time periods.
We had much better lives than today. It was an innocent world, where people could laugh at themselves because they knew family is forever. So sad that Lucy was convinced Desi was disloyal to her, because she was told someone saw him walking with a woman.
This show brings me so much happiness....need to watch them to forget about this dreary world getting bad and forget about problems.
I love this show ,you look at it over and over and you still laugh like it’s the first time you seen it
One of my favorites is when Lucy and Ethel decide to go on strike. They tell Fred and Ricky “We’re revolting!” And I think it’s Fred that says “No more than usual!”😂😂😂

The way I see it, there's two kinds of comedy. There's relevant comedy and evergreen comedy. Relevant is topical and funny TODAY, but next year? Might not be relevant or make sense. Family Guy? Recent South Park episodes? Big Bang Theory? Funny, sure, but not timeless. Shows like I Love Lucy and, say, The Dick van Dyke show? Those are evergreen - they never go bad. Most of the jokes in shows like these are just as hilariously funny as they were in the 1950's. Great show. One could say "I LOVE Lucy!"

Eric O. And his drinking was a problem to Desi Arnaz had to lay down the law with him and told him if he shows up at work drunk and he was going to fire him.That was another reason Vivian didn’t want to work with him he had a bad reputation for being an heavy drinker.
Lucy was on an episode of the Three Stooges. But she never had them on any of her shows the bitch. But i still Love Lucy.
